Loki grabbed his staff back from the ground, looking outside when the two of them heard thunder. Yet, when they looked at the sky, it was clean, not even one cloud. Both of them knew exactly what was happening.

Thor soon lands on the tower, the sound of thousands of Chitauri ringing outside. "Loki!" Thor exclaimed, walking towards the two of them. "Turn off the Tesseract or I'll destroy it!" Nina sighed, there was no way to destroy it. At least not that she knew of. Nina quickly ran outside, past Thor, and to the Tesseract.

"You can't, there is no stopping it, there is only war!" Loki yelled back. He was right. There was no more stopping it. Only an Infinity Stone could stop the power of another Infinity Stone.

The scepter, Nina realised. She knew exactly how to stop the army, but she couldn't give it away now. Loki was holding his scepter, and he probably wasn't gonna keep it far from him.

"So be it," Thor mumbled and charged towards his brother.

Nina ran to Selvig, and grabbed the communicator from his hand. He had been listening in to her friend's conversations.

"Guys? Anybody copy?" She asked into the microphone.

"Nina?" Asked Nat's voice from the com. Nina let out a sigh of relief when she heard Natasha's voice.

"Tasha, are you - is everyone okay?"

"Yeah, are you alright?" Nat asked, her tone sounding worried.

"I'm fine," she assured. "I know how to close the portal."

"Do it then!" Steve yelled at her.

"Well, I can't at the moment. I need Loki's scepter," she told them.

"Where is it?"

"With... Loki?" She said reluctantly, hearing a sigh from Natasha.

"I'll try and distract him, you go to the scepter," she started.

"I think you should do it the other way around," Tony commented. "I'm pretty sure Loki would be way more distracted if Nina was doing the distraction." By Tony's voice, Nina could hear the smirk on his face.

"Wait, what-" Steve began.

"Nothing. Not now, Stark," Nina warned.

"I'm very confused," Natasha told them.

"Well, I witnessed some tongue action between the two," Stark commented again.

"You kissed Loki?!"

"Oh my God, shut up Steve!" Nina almost yelled. "If you want me to distract him, fine, I'll distract him, but he is the God of mischief and trickery, he'll probably see straight through my lie."

"It's probably our only choice," Tony told her. He was right, wasn't it. Nina knew exactly what she had to do to 'distract' Loki. In a way, she wasn't against it, but as she thought deeply into the subject, she realised it was definetly not the right thing to do. Not only was Loki the 'enemy' now, but she was only going slot show her affection to distract her, as if she was using him for her own ends, and the thought of it broke her. She was about to break the inexplicable trust Loki had in her. Granted, he was trying to take over New York, but still.

"I've got a small problem," Tony said through the com. "I'm bringing the party to you," he told them.

"I don't see how that's a party," Natasha said, her voice small from the fear.

Steve let them know their plan, like a true capitain, and they all agreed. Clint was supposed to stay on buildings, watch over a three block quarantine and not let anything out. Stark was to do the same thing, but mostly taking over the bigger ones. Thor had to bottleneck the portal to slow the aliens down. He would stay on the ground, keep fighting. Nina, was told to distract Loki as Natasha sneaked up on the roof and disable the Tesseract.

So before she knew, Nina was running back down inside the Tower.
