Before the man could say anything else, a fist came in contact with his face. It was Natasha. Apparently, she had placed an audio of her voice pleading for help on speaker along with a bomb, to lure the Winter Soldier away. Kellner fell unconscious next to them and Nina flinched at the thud of his body kidding the ground.
Fourtunetly, it had been Nat who found her, and not Steve or Sam. Nat knew what Nina had been through with that scientist.
Nat stood in from of Nina's blank green eyes, head to head.
"Nina?" She asked. The woman's eyes suddenly went from blank to look directly into Nat's. "Hey, are you okay?"
Nina was definetly not okay. She was looking around as if someone was about to attack her, but her head wouldn't move, only her eyes. She was breathing heavily, her chest going up and down very fast.
"Hey, Jones, stay with me, alright?" Nat placed a hand on her shoulder, shaking her a little. Nina's eyes seamed to finally focus on something as she came back to reality. "Hey, you okay?" Nina looked at her for a second and then nodded her head. Nat looked down at the man she had knocked down. "Is this Kellner?" She asked. Nina looked down at the man at her feet and nodded. "Okay let's get you out of here."
What they didn't know was: The Winter Soldier had witnessed the whole scene. He had chosen to fail his mission of bringing Nina back to base. He knew he was going to get punished. He chose saving her over saving himself. After all, there was nothing else to save in him.
Nat started running to where Steve was, and Nina could do nothing else but follow her. Unfortunately, that mission wasn't one he was about to fail; kill Steve Rogers and Natalia Romanova.
He ran at Nat. Luckily, she had sick reflexes. She jumped on a car to be able to hop on his shoulders. She tried to knock him out, make him choke. It didn't work out as planned. The Soldier grabbed her with his metal arm and threw her on Nina, both of them falling to the ground grunting.
Nat quickly threw a mini-taser on him, hitting his metal forearm. He completely lost control of it, making his gun fall to the ground as the two women ran away.
"Get out of the way!" Nat yelled as they ran through some people hiding behind their cars. "Stay out of the way!"
Before they could react, Nat had been shot through the shoulder. She fell to the ground on her knees. Nina was quick to react, she grabbed her other arm and dragged her behind a truck. Just as the Winter Soldier was about to shoot her another time, Steve arrived and engaged into one on one combat with him.
