Natasha walked with Nina to the lab, where Bruce was going to check her out. A nurse had arrived a few moments before with a hospital bed to wheel him to the lab faster.

"They got in my head again," Nina barely whispered her, while pulling the blanket tighter around her body. Natasha frowned. She knew how it was to have somebody else controlling your head, and she felt bad for Nina. She had been free of it for years, and what made her go back was simply bad luck.

"I'm sorry, I really am," Natasha told her.

"I just... it's better if you know," Nina admitted. She was obviously ashamed she had allowed it to happen again, but mostly terrified. She was scared Hydra was going to find her again, even if Steve and Tony told her there was no more Hydra. After all, cut off one head, two more take its place.

"Hydra is gone, Nina," Natasha tried. Nina managed to let out a small laugh through her nose.

"We both know that's not how it works, Tasha."

They finally got to the lab, where Bruce asked her to sit down on a chair. She looked over at Clint, who was still unconscious on the bed. All the others were already there, either sitting or standing around in the room, most of them drinking some weird dark green liquid, peobably a health juice but worse.

"I'm gonna do a couple of tests, just to see if you're actually physically fine, okay?" Bruce said, wrapping a blood pressure gauge around her right arm. Nina nodded at first, but then remembered that the results would be completely different from the ones of a human, and it would probably freak everyone out.

"Uh, just keep in mind that I'm not human, yeah?" She said to no one in particular. Bruce nodded, placing her index finger into a heartbeat measuring device. He turned around to get a stethoscope before the thing started to beep at a very rapid rate.

A silence fell between the group. Bruce turned around slowly, a worried look on his and Dr. Cho's faces.

"Yeah, about that..." she trailed off. She slowly stood up and walked to Bruce, taking the iaphragam of the stethoscope and placing it on the left side of her chest, gesturing for bruce to place the ear tips in his ears. He frowned as he realised that it was beating almost half speed as the beeping of her finger. She then slided it to the right side of her chest. Bruce's face fell, earning a reaction from everyone in the room.

"What..." Bruce trailed off, switching from her left and right side. A chorus of 'what's wrong,' and 'what is it' resonated in the small room. Nina smirked.

"Two hearts," she smiled at them.

"Shut the fuck up," Tony immediatly yelled.

"Don't say that, Steve doesn't appreciate that kind of language," Nina remarked before sitting down on her chair, the blanket still around her shoulders. Steve gave a look that clearely said 'seriously, you too?' "By the way, Bruce," Nina added, "I'm pretty sure I'm running a fever."

"You are?" Tony asked her incredulously, checking the temperature on the scanner. Nina shrugged.

"Feels like it," Nina told him.

"Just to be clear, what is your normal body temperature?" Bruce asked.

"Around 13°, usually," she said casually. Bruce shook his head  not believing what he was hearing.

"Um, and for those who aren't fluent in metric?" Tony asked, Steve onviously wondering the same thing.

"55°," Bruce answered with a sigh, placing the stethoscope back on the counter. "And you're at 59°, now."

"Fever was right, then," Nat commented.
