Suddenly, the front door was locked open. Bucky's soldier reflexes took in and he immediately threw the pan in his hands in the head of one of the Hydra agents.

Nina took Peter by his shirt and threw him behind the sofa, hiding him from the door.

"Wha-"

"Don't let them see your face," she ordered him before standing up and getting herself into a fight. There were about 12 agents, and they were all unconscious in about thirty seconds. Bucky and Nina were professional Russian assassins, they were the best of the best. Or the worst of the worst, if you want.

Once Nina stopped fighting, her adrenaline lowered and she went back to feeling the pain of her stomach wound. She placed a hand on the wall next to her door to support herself and not fall to the ground. Bucky was on the other side of the room, next to the kitchen door, breathing heavily as he had taken down at least 80% of the men.

" You can come out, kid," Nina said out loud. Peter slowly made his face visible from behind the couch.

"What happened?" He asked softly.

" And this is why I said we needed to head out immediately," Nina told Bucky, ignoring Peter's question. "And this is why we should listen to what I say."

"Okay, fine, I get it," Bucky conceded.

Nina walked to the coffee table and grabbed Peter's plate and juice box. She threw out the box and threw the plate down into the back of her cupboard. She also made sure to throw anything Bucky had used down with it. She wanted to make sure that, when someone was to enter her home, they would think she was alone.

"Buck, do me a favour. There's a big backpack in my closet in my room. Go there and grab as many clothes as you can," she ordered. Bucky nodded and walked to her room. "There's a couple of Steve's clothes down there too, grab those for you," she yelled to him.

"Captain America left his clothes in your closet?" Peter asked. He was so pale that Nina was almost sure he was about to pass out.

"Okay, Peter. Listen to me carefully," she said in a very serious tone. "You need to get out of here. Take the fire escape and run away. I'm pretty sure May heard all of the noise in here, so she's gonna be up and knocking on the door any second now. Nobody can know you were here, understood?" Peter nodded franaticly and stood there in front of her. Nina raised her eyebrows. "What are you waiting for?" Nina exclaimed. Peter jumped and walked to the fire escape. Just before stepping out, he turned around.

"Be safe," he told Nina, who smiled.

"I will."

Peter walked out and closed the window behind him. Bucky suddenly appeared back in the room.

"You gotta go first," Nina realised. "Go through the back too. Peter's aunt loves next door and she's gonna be here questioning me in about two minutes. I gotta tell her I'm okay." Bucky hesitated for a second, but then he realised that it was the best way. "Leave the bag, I need to have a reason to coming back here."

"You can barely stand up," Bucky reasoned.

"I'll make do. Go." Bucky nodded and let the bag fall on the ground.

And about ten seconds after Bucky left through the fire escape, May came bursting in through the door.

"What The fuck?" She stared at all of the guys on the ground. "I saw the news. You are missing!"

"Shhhh, I'm hiding," Nina said, walking to grab her bag next to the window. Damnit, Bucky left it so far away. She lowered herself and grabbed on the ground with difficulty. She could feel the wound on her stomach bleeding again, so she pulled up the zipper before turning towards May again. "And we don't want everyone to know where I am, do we?" She asked.

"You're hiding in your apartment?" Nina sighed.

"I came here to get some stuff I needed, and now I'm on the run," Nina explained. "About all this..."

"You're a SHIELD agent, I see."

"Can you do me a favour and call the police?" Nina told her. "Like, five minutes after I leave. Tell them you heard noises in here, or whatever. You can't tell anyone I was here, okay?"

"What about Peter?"

"Okay. Tell Peter. Tell him I love him, but I have to go, alright?"

"Yeah, come here," May said, pulling Nina into a hug. Nina grunted once May squeezed her too tightly, but she didn't even notice. "Stay safe."

And with that, Nina ran down the stairs and to the jet, and as she neared it, she could hear the faint police sirens coming to May's call.
