Final Case Part 2: Hide And Seek (Part 2) (Final)

The sun has risen yet the case hasn't been over. Soojung's apartment is now restricted to civilians and some officers are still around. People are seriously worried and curious about what happened last night at their neighborhood.

"So there's not witness?"

"No. Nobody has seen the attacker's face,"  the detective in charge of the case answers, "they did see a dark-hooded man nearby but nobody had seen his face. And they just thought he was some guests for Detective Jung because apparently, she has some shady guests and she claimed to her neighbors that they were informants for her cases. Maybe that explains her success rate in apprehending criminals."

"And there's nothing else?"

"CSI has found no fingerprint at the knife used to stab her. As for the shoe-print, there is one blurred print, happened maybe because he stepped into wet soil, and as for now the team is examining the blurred print. Maybe we can determine the shoe's type. However, for the size, it's size 42."

"Man's size,"  Sooyoung says and the detective nods. "It's consistent with the witnesses' claim that said they saw dark-hooded man nearby."

"Please inform us if something is found."  Jongdae and Sooyoung bow to the detective before he leaves. "It's definitely some kind of very clean attack. The attacker knows how to attack a person."

"And he dared to attack a police officer,"  Sooyoung continues, "who would have wanted to attack us? Wait, that's a wrong question. Of course there are people who want to attack police officers."

"First they unleashed Kyunghan and now Supervisor Do is still hospitalized. Detective Jung was attacked and is still fighting for her life. Prosecutor Son is still traumatized with the whole attack. And Minho with CSI's members were subdued with chemical substances. I am just glad he is now okay."

Before they left, Jongdae met with Minho who had woken up. He was questioning the whole thing and wanted to join the force, but the doctor and everyone there (including his family) asked him not to. They wanted him to recover fully first. Maybe later today or tomorrow Minho can join the investigation.

"Hey, about the murder before we found out this thing. Hasn't it been solved?"

"Doctor Kang hasn't given more updates about it."

"Eh? How is she, though? Is there any kind of protection for her? She's one of us too."

"She is fine. There are some police officers for her too, if I am not mistaken. Detective Oh has asked her to be put into safety."

"So she will not go to the morgue?"

"I haven't called her about that. Let me text her first."  Sooyoung does what she said and she got the reply almost immediately. Seulgi said that she would go back to the morgue. "But we can arguably say that the victim was killed by Kyunghan."

"Well, perhaps. But there is no solid evidence. It's even unclear whether he had been in contact with whom. It could be Supervisor Do, too."

"And we can't ask him because of the drug thing at his body."  Jongdae sighs. "Liyin noona is also still questioned by the authority there. I am so relieved she is fine, but this whole thing is just wrecking us. Not to mention Joohyun's feeling about Detective Lu's death."

Jongdae and Sooyoung haven't known about Han's current condition right now.

When they are wondering, their phones are ringing. Text message coming from Joohyun. Body found. Segok-dong.
