Destiny's perspective ~

I turn around, grabbing my brush. Stephanie's in the bathroom, talking to someone I don't know. Taylor's placed on my bed, talking to Alex. Well okay then, just let me be the third wheel, why not..?

I sigh. I could have been with Luke right now. But nooooo, I absolutely needed to overreact and just storm away. It's Luke's 18th birthday and here am I, sitting in my room, making myself ready for a stupid party. I wish I had Luke with me. I miss him. Gosh, it's only been like a week and it already feels like I haven't hug him in years. I want one of his big, teddy bear hugs. He's so tall that his arms reaches around my small body easily. If he'd just squeeze hard I bet he would crush me. I mean, it's not like there's no muscles in those arms. Actually, there are a lot of them...

"Des?" Taylor interrupts my thoughts by throwing a pillow at me.

I face her. "Hm?"

"The door?"

"Oh" I didn't even notice the loud doorbell, but I stand up to make my way towards the door.

I open it with a sigh. But I freeze as soon I see who's there.

As he smiles, I can't help but squeal. "Landon!"

I literally throw myself in my best friends arms, pressing my nose against his chest. He smells so good, so familiar, so safe... He puts his own arms around me, squeezing me.

"Oh, god. How I've missed you" I blur out, tilting my head back to look at him. His hair have surprisingly got browner, and the curls are almost all gone. He looks... Attractive?

Yeah, he actually does. I'm not gonna tell him that though, considering he's my best friend.

"I've missed you too, babe!" He says, smiling. "How you doing?"

I've missed the way he calls me and Tay babe.

"I'm alright... I guess" I mumble.

"C'mon now" Landon smiles. "I can tell that something is bothering you. Tell me!"

I sigh. I don't really want to bother him... "It's Luke's birthday today. His 18th"

Something I can't really read happens in Landon's eyes, but he leads me towards the kitchen, pressing me down on a chair.

"And how come you aren't with him?"

"Because I overreacted"

"Overreacted about what?"

"Okay so he was kind of in a bad mood or something, I guess. And I came over to talk about the party with him and he didn't answer me so I kind of ran off all angry" I admit.

"I bet the dude must have done something to upset you" he mutters, to my surprise.

"He didn't do anything wrong" I say, now defending my boyfriend.

"Whatever" he mutters. "So you're like... Not seeing him anymore?"

I stare at him. "Have you gotten too much sun when you were gone or something? Of course I'm still seeing him!"

"It doesn't sound like that"

"We're on a break for the week! I think..."

"Maybe he's just not good for you?"

I stare at him. He sounds like ash. "What?"

"You heard me" he says, not breaking eye contact. "I don't think he's good for you"

"And how would you know?" I spit. "You haven't even met him!"

"You deserve someone better!" His voice goes higher too. "Someone who won't leave you all alone when he goes back home! Someone who isn't traveling the freaking world, leaving you here"
