Gale pov
We sat in the meadow. Our families have gone home. We sat there watching the sun go down. If I closed my eyes and thought really really hard, I could pretend that it was like what it was before. When Katniss wasn't sad because of everything she's been through. When we would sit here exactly like this. I remember that. I remember the first time she Layed her head on my shoulder. I had loved her for a while, but I didn't say anything, in case she was just being friendly.
Now, many tears later, many deaths later, many years later....I knew she wasn't being just friendly that day. We loved eachother. And that was the day we both realized it.
Neither of us was asleep. We sat still in the meadow.
Then Katniss said something that surprised me. She said she wanted a child. She said she wanted a little one so badly.....
