Katniss pov
"I love you too." I say.
I was one of the first nights I've slept soundlessly in a long time.
We wake up around dawn. We all gather around the fire and turn on that crackly old radio. And what the voice says is better news than any of us could have ever dreamed of.
"The spark Katniss Everdeen has ignited fire of rebellion in the districts to the point were the Capitol finally hands over the freedom we deserve. Panem is now a free and independent country. Panem today, Panem tomorrow, Panem forever."
"We can go home.." I whisper. "We could be safe and fed and...we could go home." I say.
Everyone looks absolutely stars struck.
"Catnip we can go home because of you. We're all free because of you!" Gale says.
It really wasn't me. It was the soldiers in the districts. Not me, who hid while it all went down. Then again, I don't think I could handle going through a war. But I'm to shocked to even speak more that a few whispers.
We all decide to start the trek back as soon as possible. We sleep tonight, and starts walking tomorrow.
