Katniss pov
We usually don't sleep. We never really are awake. We are somewhere in between.
Gale is a small bit better.
He answers my questions instead of just sadly looking at me
He hugs me tighter
He kisses me back.
He's starting to recover from the death of his sister.
I can only imagine what he's going through.
I can only imagine losing Prim.
Sometimes, our nightmares get so bad, that we have to get up and go to the only place that is safe from them. The woods.
I usually just wake my mother and tell her that we're leaving for a while. She understands why.
We run and cry at the same time. We finally arrive and sit down. We cry harder and longer, and we look at eachother. What a beautiful mess we are.
Gale will never recover, nor will I, each from our own separate tragedies, bound together by love.
But I can tell you one thing, as we looked up into the stars, blurred by tears, his soft kisses on my cheek, my arms around him as tight as I could hold, laying on the dirt ground, I swear, we were infinite.
NOT OVER BUT I USED A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT WRITING STYLE AND THIS MIGHT ME MY FAV CHAPTER. COMMENT THOUGHTS PLEASE.
