103. Best Friends - II

"Rohit what are you doing here? You were supposed to go pick Virat from the airport an hour ago, you fool" Ash said irritated at his forgetful attitude.

"Oh fuck" cursed Rohit and ran towards the his car but bumped into someone.

"Kaha ja raha hai Ro?" It was Virat who had bumped into. Virat steadied him by his shoulders.

"Shit tujhe lagi toh nahi" Rohit asked checking his arms. Virat smiled at his concern.

"Nahi, where are you running btw?"

"Wo.. I forgot.."

"To pick me up, I know! Jinks had sent the car to the airport so here I am. Now u can stare and apologise later, I am really hungry so let's go inside"

"No no u can't go inside" Rohit said and dragged him back eyed Ash to go inside which he understood.

"Par Mujhe bhook lagi hai" whined Virat as Rohit dragged him to lawn.

Rohit made him sit, "Ruk ek min", he said and made a call.

"Stop sulking, 5 mins mai aa raha hai meal"

"But meko freshen up bhi hona hai" Virat said again.

"Half hour baad ho Lena waise bhi u look monkey, koi farak nahi padhega"

"Shut up panda"

Rohit laughed at his whining face.

"Waise tell me how was everything at home? How's Anuty?" Rohit asked and successfully distracted Virat from the whining session.

After 15 mins, Rohit said, "chal ab", Virat gave him a look, "I know ur conversation is remaining, we will have it afterwards! Chal ab", said Rohit and Virat followed him seeing his excitement.

"Welcome home" there was a loud chorus yell when they entered the hall.

Virat was awestruck seeing everything and everyone. He couldn't help but have moist eyes seeing that. Rohit kept hand on his shoulder seeing him overwhelmed to which Virat just hugged him and buried his head in his shoulder.

The whole hall was decorated, it was so beautiful. Each and everyone was present there.

"Senti mat ho, chal bahot mehnat Kari hai sabne" Rohit said patting his back, "Ja change kar le and freshen up! I will also change and comeback", he said.

"Ab remaining.."

"Don't worry it's done" before Rohit could even complete the sentence Ab said it. Virat raised his eyebrows in confusion.

"Go and change biscuit" ab said seeing his confused face.

Once Virat arrived downstairs, Mahi gave him a hug.

"I missed you bhai" Virat said hugging him back.

Mahi smiled at that, "it's just 8 days Cheeku u were gone home", he said cupping his cheeks.

"Toh 8 days mai miss nahi kar sakta kya and I told u and Rohit to come delhi with me but u didn't" complained Virat.

"Ooo whining and complaining ki dukaan everyone is waiting to cut the cake, chal ab" Rohit said dragging Virat to the centre.

"But why all this?" Virat asked not knowing the reason of the celebration.

Jinks said, "u should ask Ro, everything was his idea"

"No it was not, it was everyone's idea"

"Ya we were running like a maniac from one corner to other checking if everything was perfect for Virat or not and not to forget that got yelled also" Jaddu mocked him.

"Aww Ro u did all this" Virat teases him further.

"Shutup and cut the cake" Rohit said.

Virat saw the cake, "Happy to have you back", he read.

"This is because now you are fully back, like our friend, Vi, Cheeku, Virat, Biscuit, Virat bhai, Cheeku bhaiya.. everything! The days which we have spent wishing for this, it is here. So the idea is to celebrate you again with all the people u love" Rohit said as he saw Virat's confused face.

"Now don't cry and be emotional yaar, cake Khana hai sabko" said Rohit not wanting him to shed tears as they saw it too many times and he just wanted him smiling today.

"Everybody join me, you all are a part of making me me again" Virat said bad everyone joined him and they cut the cake.

Once done everyone just started to enjoy the party. Music was on, Juniors were dancing with the kids. Virat was with Mahi bhai and AB, Rohit was about to join them when he saw Vamika sitting on the couch alone.

"My partner, kya kar raha hai yaha akele mera bacha?" Rohit said taking her in his lap.

"Ro cha" Vamika said keeping her head on his chest.

"Ha bacha"

"Sam no love me" Vamika complained.

Rohit was surprised by it, "No kiddo, she loves u the most", he said lovingly.

"No she no" Vamika says burying her cute face in his chest and pointed to Sammy.

Rohit followed her point and saw Sammy playing with Ab's daughter Yente. Rohit couldn't help but softly chuckle at that.

"Baby she loves you, she just playing with her na" Rohit tried to explain her but all she did was nodding in no.

Rohit indicated Sammy to come to him.

"Sammy tell me who u love the most among ur friends" Rohit asked and Vamu peeked from his jacket to know the answer.

"Dada, a certain someone but she doesn't love me back" Sammy said making a sad face.

"No I love Sam" Vamu said and hugged Sammy immediately.

Rohit just smiled as Sammy took her to Yente and then it was kind of she was making me them play and then all three started to play together.

"Teri beti bilkul tere pe gayi hai" Rohit said as Virat sat by his side.

"Matlab" asked Virat passing him juice.

"She was just whining about how Sammy doesn't love her more and how she was playing with Yente.. just like u do" Rohit said chuckling.

"Shut up" Virat said smacking his hand. Rohit just laughed more on his face settling comfortably on the couch.

Virat just rested himself properly and noticed,

Mahi, Ab and Ash talking about something where Ab caught his eye and genuinely smiled at him. Ash raised a glass to him and Mahi blinked his eyes that they were here for him always.

Another corner, Jaddu, Maxwell, Marnus, Stoinis along with Shikhar where laughing on some joke. There was Steve standing there confused. And Faf was shaking his head at Maxwell.
Their smiles were so contagious that it made Virat smile too.

The ladies were busy among themselves.

Jassi, Bhuvi and Jinks were talking something sensible it seemed as always when Jinks caught his gaze and "I am happy that everything is okay", "Thanks Jinks" he conveyed back.

Juniors were busy with kids as Hardik, KL playing around them.

And then finally he saw Rohit by his side. He just wipes his tear and held Rohit's hand.

"We are always with you Vi, your best friends are always there no matter what" Rohit whispered quietly as he had seen Virat observing everyone.

"Thank you so much Ro" Virat said feeling so content that he couldn't define it.

He just rested his head on Rohit's shoulder.
