39. Finally!

Rohit who was having his peaceful nap after an hour of hectic practice session was startled as the door opened and his not so peaceful friend entered, his neend ka dushman, Virat!

Vi- Ro did you know that Mahi bhai ke best friend Yuvi pa hai and vice versa!
He said and sat on the bed breaking Rohit's nap.

Rohit closed his eyes again listening to that,
Ro- what a brand new information Vi, ofcourse I know that! Everyone knows that!
He said being annoyed.

Vi- toh who is ur best friend Ro?
He asked to which Rohit got up immediately and sat facing Virat.

Rohit looked at him in shock,
Ro- what do you mean? Ofcourse it is you Vi!
He said. And now Rohit was expecting the same response from him.

Vi- Me? I am ur best friend!
He asked confused.

Ro- What's wrong with you? Am I not your best friend!
He asked shocked.

Vi- I never thought it like that! I thought ur best friend is Jinks!

Ro- u know what! U are right.. my best friend is Jinks! U are not! Get out!
He said pushing Virat out of the room.

Vi- but Ro baat toh sun..

Vi- Ro yaar! It's my room too!
He said again but Rohit closed the door.

Rohit had a smile remembering how Virat was following him for 2 days convincing how Rohit was also Virat's best friend giving him all the logical and illogical reasons he could. Now he saw him sleeping silently, he hated how silent he was. He just want him to wake up now.

He sat by his side taking his hand softly in his hand not to hurt him and just to assure himself that his best friend was alive and breathing.

Ro- please uth ja Ab jaldi.. tere bina kuch acha nahi lagta! Sab scattered hai Vi! I am trying to put it back together but I can't do it alone! Please Vi.. I will forgive u for everything, for every nonsense u have pulled, just wake up now it's high time! I can't handle it anymore Vi! I am tired I am really tired.. now I need u to get up and say "Ro I am here! I am here with you" so please get up now!

Ab who came in the room listened to that and had moist eyes himself. He went towards Rohit and told him to get some sleep.

Jaddu, Stoinis and Shikhi had beat Omar with bat so badly that for sure his hands and legs would be fractured, he would never able to walk again.

"Good Job guys" Mahi said as he witnessed his screams of pain. And not gonna lie it gave him immense satisfaction, he was that guy who wants revenge but from the time he had seen the video of his kid screaming and crying due to all the pain, he wanted this to happen.

"Ash, Jaddu.. hand over him to police, take help of Akshay and complete the formalities. Others go back to hotel and freshen up, I will call you as Virat wakes up or if there is any update", Mahi informed them and they agreed.

"Anushka, why are you sitting alone?", Mahi said as he came to freshen up and little, also pick food for Rohit and AB.

Anushka wiped her tears and made herself presentable.. "nothing bhai, Ritika is in the room making Sammy and Vamu sleep so I was just.."

Mahi made her sit on the sofa, gave her water and said softly "Anu, kya ho gaya hai? why are you crying? tell me.. you are missing Cheeku?"

"nahi bhai aise kuch nhi hai.. let me bring food for you.. u must be hungry", Anushka said not wanting to burden him with her emotions and problems.

"Anushka.. calm down! I am ur brother right? tell me what's wrong.." Mahi asked sternly yet softly.

"Bhai.. u know today first time Vamu asked.. "Dada.. where? I want Dada".. she always said "dada..dada.." but today she literally asked me and I didnt have any answer to be honest.. I could not lie to her for some reason.. her eyes searching for Virat.. her Dada.. I just couldn't bhai.. I.." Anushka started sobbing hiding her face within her palms.

Mahi took her in a side hug so that she could let her emotions out. He knew how difficult it was for her.. perhaps it was more than anyone! she was being strong for so long but now seeing her daughter asking for her Dada.. she felt weak now and she had broke her walls of her being strong!

"Anu beta.. please calm down! you will get sick bacha.. Vamu needs you na.. and dont think negative kiddo.. he is gonna wake up soon! he is our Vi.. he is a fighter!! You will see when he wakes up he will say.. "vamu loves me more Anu".." Mahi said and Anushka chuckled as Mahi imitated Vi's voice.

"bahot pareshaan kiya aapke Cheeku ne bhai.. aap na usko bahot daant na" said Anushka wiping her tears. Mahi smiled at her complain and patted her head to console her.

Anushka served food to Mahi and heard Vamu calling her.. "Mum.. Mumma"

"you go.. I will do the rest" Ritika said coming the hall.

"Is Rohit okay bhai?" asked Ritika for the first time since everything happened.

Mahi sighed, "honestly I am not sure at the moment.. you know this may be come as shock but Ab must be knowing more than me.. they have been together since everything happened. And surprisingly they have been able to relate a lot to each other..", he said to which they both chuckled.

Ab was scrolling through his phone texting Faf about Virat's health. And checking on Virat from time to time. He noticed a weight on his shoulder. He looked at his side and it was Rohit who was resting his head on his shoulder and was fast asleep.

Ab couldn't help but chuckle at the situation.

"Only u can make this happen Biscuit! Only you! Wake up soon biscuit.. miss u a lot my little brother" Ab whispered.

"What the actual fuck" the first thing Virat could say after he opened his eyes seeing Rohit sleeping with his head on Ab's shoulder and Ab resting his head too.

Ab and Rohit heard the voice they and their ears were literally craving. Their sleep broke only to see their brother awake.
