48. 360 change

Mahi and Rohit were waiting for Virat to say something about if he is ready to give the statement, they knew it was really difficult for him but they were hoping he would say yes, it was really important.

"Bahot tired feel ho Raha, thodi Der so jau?", Virat asked permission, Mahi couldn't differentiate between a child and him as he looked so innocent at that moment.

Mahi and Rohit helped him to lay down on the bed but instead Virat just kept his head in Mahi's lap. Mahi understood how he needed time to understand and process everything.

After sometime Ab arrived in the room.

"I am sorry biscuit", said virat as soon as he saw him.  He apologised immediately.

Ab was confused why he was saying sorry. Instead of asking him and stressing him about that, he just caressed his hair, "It's okay, u should rest now! We are here", he said softly.

Virat closed his eyes as it was too much to handle and process at a time. His head already started to ache when he came to know that he had forgotten everyone. He can't even imagine what his loved ones would be going through.

Now, he was also tensed about giving the statement. He had to relieve all those memories. He was not worried about that but instead thinking how Mahi bhai, Ro would react. It would break them. Thinking all this he slept.

After an hour,

Ab and Rohit were seated on the couch while Virat was sleeping on the bed. Mahi by his side, resting his head on headboard. Ab saw Rohit lost about something.

"What happened?", Ab asked Rohit getting his attention.

Rohit sighed and said, "I told him about the memory loss thing. And then asked him if he can give the statement. I dont know how he is going to react, I am scared a bit"

Ab kept his hand on his shoulder.

"Dont worry, one day or the other he would always come to know, sooner the better Rohit. And dont you worry we are there with him. We wont let anything happened to him, now or ever. The statement is really important, we need justice for our brother. That man needs that punishment for what all he has done to our friend", Ab explained softly which relaxed Rohit to an extent.

Rohit nodded at that.

"How are you Ab?", Rohit asked him. He didnt ask him till now as he was occupied so much but now he asked.

He knew how Ab must have affected in all this. Virat has not yet talked properly with Ab. He didn't blame Vi for it knowing how he is, what all he has gone through, he would take his time. But he also knew how Ab badly wanted to talk to Virat. He was keeping his brave front with a smile and handling every emotion.

"I am okay, what are you asking?", Ab said taking his hand back from his shoulder. He sat straight not meeting his eyes.

"AB, there is no need to hide. I know you are friends with Vi, you dont need to be so obvious", said Rohit.

"Meaning?" Ab asked confused.

"Meaning, this— not meeting eyes, lying about how u feel I don't need anyone I can handle everything on my own, that attitude.. drop it! And tell me are u okay?" Said Rohit firmly.

"What should I say Rohit? It's just I want everything to be okay soon. I can't describe how it feels to see biscuit like this, he is so silent. He talks when we ask something or his nightmares make him scream. I don't want to see all this. I know he needs time to get into terms with all of it, I just can't see this. I don't know how long I will be able to hold myself anymore" Ab confessed emotionally.

Rohit kept his hand on his, assuring and supporting him, "So why do u need to hold urself Ab, u can let it out, we are here. Faf is there, Maxwell, everyone.. um.. even me!"

"You?", Ab asked raising his eyebrows..

"I know it's weird" Rohit said to which Ab replied, "It's not weird anymore Rohit"

Ab smiled and Rohit smiled back.

"Why the fuck always they have to be like this when I wake up, memory loss mera hua tha ya inka... total 360 degrees change ho Gaya hai" whined Virat.

Mahi chuckled at his mumbling as he woke up he saw the sight of ab and Rohit smiling. Rohit had his hand on Ab shoulder comforting him.

"Heart attack leke ayenge yeh dono after brain surgery. Bhai, Kya chal raha hai?? How come they are so close suddenly? I can't even imagine Ro like this!"

"I know right but u will know the details soon Cheeku, now come on get up! I think you are getting discharged today, let us talk to the doctor", Mahi said getting up and stretching his legs.

"Don't look like this, it's fine! U are okay, that's what matters", Mahi said as Virat was looking with puppy eyes seeing Mahi stretching his legs as his head was in his lap for so much time and he must be tired.

Virat just hugged him tightly.

"How do u feel Vi?", Rohit asked as Ab and Mahi went to talk to doctor..

"Thik hu Abhi, itna tired feel nahi ho raha! I have pain in my legs! Tu bata, how are you?"

"I am okay" Rohit said arranging things for him.

Virat held his hand and asked, "Really?"

Before Rohit could answer anything Mahi came back in the room and said the best thing Virat wanted to hear,

"We can go home today"

"Finally", Virat said relieved.

"Cheeku your body is still weak, so u would need support to walk", Mahi was hesitant to say that but Virat quickly assured him..

"I know bhai, don't worry! You both are there with me. Somedays on crutches and I will be okay", Mahi ruffled his hair affectionately at that.

"We will go to ur farmhouse only bhai, that is more silent and peaceful", Rohit suggested as Virat needed more calm environment.

"But first there is one thing which we need to complete" Virat interrupted.

"What Vi?"

"The statement", Virat said, Mahi and Rohit looked at him to make sure that he was absolutely ready to do it.

"are u absolutely sure kiddo? There is no pressure, it's all up to you", Mahi asked him softly, he didn't want to pressure him in any kind.

"Bhai", He called with moist eyes.

Mahi wiped his tears cupping his cheeks, "Ha Cheeku"

"I just want to finish this all for once! I am tired and I know u guys are also suffering equally. So just want to end this, just u both be with me!" He said in a low voice.

"We are with you", Rohit said side hugging him.

"Also the team like seniors call them too. They also need to know, where is jinks? He didn't come to meet me?" asked Virat.

Rohit got stiff at that and Virat noticed it..

"What happened?"
