Today was my boyfriend Brock and I's one year anniversary of dating. We both had a week off of work.
He sent me out of the house for a few hours, he didn't say why.

They say everybody plays the fool sometimes

I grabbed my keys and went to a few stores. I kept on wondering what he was doing. I'm sure it had something to do with work and not our anniversary. Brock wasn't very into romantic things.

About 2 hours later he called. I answer.
"Hello?" I say. "Hey baby you can come home now." he says with happiness in his voice. "Ok babe I'll be there in a little bit!" I say and go to my car in the process.

After the 15 minute car ride, I pull into our driveway.
I walk to the door and unlock it. As soon as I walk in I see Brock wearing a nice shirt and pants.

"This way babe." he said and leads me to our dining room.
On the table is a fancy dinner. "I didn't know you could cook babe." I say. "Only for you." he replies with a smile.

I put our plates away after we finish. "Would you like to go outside?" he asks. "Sure." I say. Brock leads us to his large back yard. He stands behind me and wraps his arms around waist. After a few minutes of looking up at the stars he pulls away. "Wait here" he says and goes back inside.

He then comes back out after a few minutes. "Close your eyes." he says and I do so. "Now turn around and open your eyes." I do so. I see Brock standing on one knee with a velvet box in his hand. "Will you marry me?" he asks. I nod and say yes. He stands up and picks me up, spinning me around. We end up kissing on the lips passionately under the stars.
