*Wanda POV*

Wanda's eyes blink rapidly, turning back to green. She wipes a few tears that fell from her eyes and pushes herself up quickly off her bed. Within seconds she was on the ground hovering over y/n, trying to get their attention. Her hand gently touches the back of their head and surprisingly y/n doesn't flinch or even seem to realize she is talking to them. Steve and Natasha rush down the hall, adding to the voices that seem to not be registering with y/n who starts to slowly push themselves up off the ground. Without a word, y/n stumbles to stand and drags themself to their room, ignoring both Steve and Natasha who try to get them to stop.

Still sitting on the ground, Wanda looks down at her hand that was under y/n. Red liquid coats her fingers and the floor that moments ago housed y/n's head. "Is that from them?" Natasha's voice cuts through the muffled sounds that have started to spiral through Wanda's head. She looks up at Natasha who looks down at her, eyes full of worry.

"The blood, is that y/n's?" She asks again.

"Y-yes." Wanda mumbles out, quickly standing up and joining Steve who is standing outside of y/n's door.

"Wanda, what happened? Why are they bleeding?" Steve asks, trying to open y/n's door. Before she can answer, FRIDAY's voice plays through the speakers in the hallway.

"Y/n is experiencing a medical situation. Their vitals are low and they are currently unresponsive. I would advise immediate medical intervention."

Natasha pushes Steve out of the way and unlocks y/n's door with her voice. The door clicks and is immediately pushed open. Y/n lays on their bed, sprawled out on their back with their head hanging off the edge. A small pool of blood grows off the edge of their bed on the floor.

"Shit. Steve, pick them up and bring them down to the medical bay." Steve follows Natasha's orders and the two rush down with y/n to the next floor. Wanda stays frozen in place however, left in y/n's room looking at the red on the floor and the red on her hand.

I– I didn't mean to.. I wasn't trying to hurt them. I don't know what happened. It just all happened so fast.

*Y/N POV*

Y/n's eyes flutter open, immediately recognizing their surroundings. The familiar beeps of the machines, the sound of the heater, and the feeling of the lumpy god-awful excuse of a mattress that they are currently laying on. Frustration rushing through their body, y/n slams their head back against their pillow. Pain immediately jolts through the back of their head, causing them to grumble.

"Fuck!" Their hand gently touches the sensitive spot on their head, feeling the padding and bandage that is somehow sticking to their head without pulling at their hair.

"You might want to be careful with your head, it's really gone through a lot these last few weeks." Natasha stands up from where she was sitting in a chair next to the window in the familiar medical room. You sit up in your bed and make room for her to join you. She takes a seat on the edge near your feet.

"Why does this keep happening?" That's all y/n says. Their voice cracks, not even trying to hide their emotions. Ending up back where they started two months ago is more than enough to officially start to break them.

Natasha lets a frown slip, y/n's words tugging at her fondness toward them. She scoots up closer in the bed and places a hand on their knee. "She didn't mean to, y/n. Wanda told me what happened... you wouldn't be able to comprehend how bad she feels about this. It's just sometimes with her emotions, her powers just slip out. She would never purposefully hurt you. Never."

"I don't blame Wanda at all. I mean that. And I know it wasn't intentional. I pushed her and made her upset. Physically I'll be fine. My head will probably heal in the next 2 hours. It's not like Wanda has a habit of throwing me around with her powers. Plus it could have been worse. I could have ended up slamming into a wall or something."
