Y/N: We are about to head out. Need us to get anything on our way over?

Little Widow: No. Everything is good here. Already have a decent amount of people, so just walk in when you get here.

Little Widow: And come find me.

Y/N: Of course. We will see you soon

Kate's place was about a 30 minute ride from the tower, so you and Nat opted to take a taxi rather than the subway. You brought your airpods because in your opinion, taxi rides were always slightly uncomfortable and insufferable. You slide them out of your pocket as you both sit in the back and hand one to Nat, who gives you a slightly confused look but you ignore her and slide yours in your ear. She eventually follows your lead and you scroll through your music, landing on Complicated by Mac Miller.

The cab pulls up to your destination and you both pause outside before heading to the door. Nat gives you a reassuring look as she leads you into the house. Once the door opens you are met with loud music and even louder conversations. There are people everywhere, talking, drinking, playing games, and dancing. As you walk through the home you see a room which is slightly closed but open enough that you can tell there is karaoke inside.

I'm taking a mental note of that. I would chop off my own hand to see Nat karaoke.

The two of you finally make your way to the kitchen where your eyes immediately land on Yelena. Her arm is wrapped around Kate's waist and Kate's arm dangles lazily over Yelena's shoulder. Yelena's free hand has a drink in it which she finishes in one big gulp.

"You ready?" Nat lightly tugs on your wrist to get your attention.

"Ready." You solemnly reply, allowing her to take your hand and lead you to the pair across the kitchen. Her hold on your hand doesn't drop, she holds you close as you move around the various bodies trying to get to their own desired destination. As soon as the two of you get close enough, both Kate and Yelena's heads turn to face you but Yelena's eyes drop down to Nat's hold on your hand. During your walk across the room, dodging people like you were in a minefield, your fingers ended up interlocking together in a loose hold.

"Where are the booze?" Nat greets her sister, earning an eye roll from Yelena.

"Just grab whatever. There are beers in the fridge or liquor over there on the counters. You can have anything." Nat swivels around and heads to the fridge to grab the two of you drinks, leaving you alone with the pair.

"Happy birthday Kate. Thanks for inviting me. I appreciate the invitation" You give her a warm smile which she genuinely returns.

"Thanks! Tonight should be really fun. I'm glad you came. I know Yelena is too." Yelena gives Kate a small nudge and you look between the pair with confusion. Your questioning look doesn't last long as Nat rejoins the group and hands you a drink, taking a long sip of hers.

Nat's eyes find yours, trying to silently check in with you, but to Yelena all she sees is you and Nat intently looking into one another's eyes, having a secret conversation through your gaze. After a few seconds Nat's gaze on you softens and she turns to slightly face the group.

"Well, I don't want to wait anymore so y/n, can you give Kate her present already?" Both Kate and Yelena look at you confused as Nat gestures for you to show them the gift. Since it was so small you didn't bother wrapping it, rather just kept it in your pocket. Shaking your head at the impatient assassin, you reach into your pocket and pull out the coin like gadget and hold it in front of your face.

"Ok hear me out. This is a device that I had Tony help me with. I'm not an engineer so I needed his help making this come to life but I think it turned out well. My hope is that this will make your life a whole lot easier." You spin the coin around your fingers as you talk, drawing the three's attention onto the small device in your hand, waiting on your every word as they sit confused as to what this actually is.
