Problems

Gabby

A sharp pain shoots through me, sending me in a dizzy state. Alex notices as my actions and he holds me. "Babe?" I wave him off but get another sharp pain. Rob and Zach are about to leave, before they see me. "Gubbs? You okay there?" I shake my head. I think this is it. God... Is this why Lesley wanted to cry.

"We gotta go. Like now, Alex call mom, please." Alex nods, grabbing my phone from my pocket and dialing my mother's phone. He speaks a few words as we climb in Rob's car, I stay in the front while Alex drives. We get there and were immediately admitted. How is it that Lesley's early and I'm past my due date?

I feel a wet spot in my jeans and know that this is actually it. I'm put into a wheelchair and feel another sharp pain. "How many minutes apart?" Asks the nurse. I shrug, as Alex says, "15."

"We gotta get you in ASAP. We just got another girl in with the same time." Alex and I share looks. "That's my best friend." The nurse looks at us both and smile.

They get me in a room and we catch sight of Bobi and them. Austin nor Jake to be found. Alex takes out his phone as a bunch of nurses come in, and Jake's mom comes in. "Okay. A friend of mine will be taking care of you considering we have Lesley right across the hall." I nod and feel another pain. "8."

"Alright guy we gotta get her started know. When your less than five minutes you'll be starting alright." I nod and change into the hospital gown they hand me.

After a few more minutes we start through the pain. Alex asks. Rob, who stayed inside with us, starts to record with Alex's phone. The pain itself was unbearable. Alex would mumble reassuring words in my ear and that was the only thing keeping me going. And after a few more minutes, I finally brought my baby boy into the world. But there was one problem. He wasn't crying and that worried me. I looked away from the ceiling and looked at the doctor who was holding my baby.

"What's wrong?" He looks at him and measures his pulse. "His heart is beating but his lungs aren't contrasting any air. Get me oxygen now, he intricate a male nurse who runs out of the room fast and comes back with an incubator. Oh, no.

"Did I do something wrong?" I ask feeling the urge to cry. Doctors shakes his head. "No. Nothing at all. Your baby boy is just having little trouble breathing. Hand me a wash cloth," he asks another nurse. With the washcloths he rubs his nose, and places the oxygen mask on his face. After a few more seconds he starts to squirm, and then I sigh in relief and start to cry as he, too, lets out a cry. I look at Alex as they hand him our baby and he's smiles bigger than I ever seen him smile. The baby hands hold Alex's shirt as he struggles to hide in the fabric. My baby is then handed to me, with the oxygen mask now replaced with a different one with a binkie attached.

Rob approaches us and looks stricken with awe. "Man. I got scared go a second," he chuckles, grabbing my baby's hand, who grabs onto his fingers and holds it tight, making Robert uncomfortable. "Um, your son is kind of suffocating my finger, guys." We laugh, and hand him back to the nurse, who in return congratulates us. They take my baby in the incubator, Robert following, and I almost feel like crying again. "I thought I'd lost him," I cry. Alex hugs me and kisses my forehead. "It's fine now. I got scared too. But he's fine now." I nod.

Robert

I follow after the baby, looking at how he has more than I do. I really need to grow out my hair. I let them take the little one and walk into the waiting room. Seeing Jake standing there. "It's a boy!" I scream. Jake smiling face turns to confusion. "What?" He asks through the cheering people.

"Gabby gave birth to a boy. Where's Lesley?" I ask.

"Um, she just gave birth. Gabby's here?" I nod and his confusion disappears into a more happy emotion. "I wonder who was born at the same time as Gabby's baby." I smile knowingly. Zach calls the first one. "Lesley first boy."
