"I really don't want you to go" Lauren whispered, as she watched Lacey pack her bags. "I can't do this anymore, I honestly feel like I'm going to cave" Lacey whispered, as she wiped the tears from her face. "We've both hurt each other so much, I just think there's no coming back from this anymore" Lacey muttered, as she began to throw items into the bags she was packing, not even looking at what she was packing anymore. "Do you think you both just need space and time?" Sasha questioned, as Lacey shook her head. "I think they'll never be a right time for us anymore" Lacey whispered, as it felt like everything hit her at full speed. "I think you're both just hurting and that you need space" Sasha stated, as Lacey sighed to herself.

Lacey felt like her love for Mason would never go away, he was a light in the dark times she was working through, but although the light he had given her and the memories she would always cherish, she knew that this wasn't right for them right now, that they both needed time and space to work on each other.
"He really loves you" Lauren whispered, as she looked up from her phone briefly. "The other night it didn't feel like it, I'm going to be honest, it felt like I didn't even know the person I was speaking to" Lacey whispered, as Sasha nodded her head. "When you're hurting or angry you say things you don't mean" Sasha mumbled, as Lacey nodded her head. "I know, but maybe I was too damaged to be able to give him what he needed which was love, and even when I did give him the love he needed and wanted, I pushed him away, and I'm the one to blame for that" Lacey stated, as she finally sat on her bed, looking around the half empty room.
She didn't need to go to LA, she wanted to go to LA, she needed to find herself again, to be able to love herself again before she loved anyone else.
"I just want you guys to make sure his happy, to make sure he still lives the life he was living" lacey whispered, as she looked at her friends, who were more like sisters. "I want you guys to make sure that he does what he needs to do" lacey smiled, as the girls nodded their heads. "And you promise that you'll keep in touch? That you won't forget us" Lauren mumbled, as Lacey laughed, nodding her head. "I couldn't forget you even if I wanted to" Lacey smiled, as she finally did a glance over the room, realising that she was now ready to leave for her own adventure.

As Lacey stood at the airport terminal, her earbuds in her ears listening to some music, on a new phone she had picked up, a phone that only had the numbers she needed and wanted, she couldn't help but glance out of the window, watching as the airoplanes took off and landed, wanting nothing more than to now be on it, flying to her adventure of touring and singing most nights, finding herself as a person, and living the life she had dreamed of for so long.

But in another part of London, Mason sat in the training room of Cobham, scanning his phone, his eyes dancing over Lacey's name, the feeling of guilt and anger filling his body, as his finger pressed the call button.

Hey, you've reached Lacey, feel free to drop a line

"I didn't fall in love with you because of your looks" Mason whispered. "Or the way that you sing with so much emotion" he continued, "or even because you made me feel wanted, or that I felt like I belonged" he breathed, as he took a deep breath. "I fell in love with you because of trust" Mason whispered. "Because of this feeling called home, a feeling I have never felt because before you I felt alone" Mason breathed, taking another breath, blinking away the tears. "But when I'm with you, for the first time, in my life, I'm not stuck, in this feeling of the unknown" Mason stopped himself from speaking letting a tear fall from his eyes, as he looked at the phone that was on loudspeaker. "You're home Lace, you've always been home" he whispered, as his hand danced across the red phone button on his phone, hanging up, regretting that he could only ever say that over voicemail.

But the truth was, Lacey would never hear that voicemail with a new phone, she wouldn't ever realise that she was always what Mason wanted, despite the bad parts of their relationship, she wouldn't ever hear him say that was his feeling of home.

As Lacey stepped on the small stage in LA, not even a night after landing and setting herself up in a smaller apartment, somewhere on the outskirts of LA, knowing that she wouldn't be living there that long with being on the road, she couldn't help but feel the buzz from the audience that had gathered at short notice, knowing that this was the feeling Mason, Ben, Jack and Declan all got when they stepped on the football pitch, or when Sasha was photographed in a shoot that she really enjoyed, or Lauren buying something as simple as new bandana for Raffa, she knew this was what she needed to do.
"I never planned in being in LA this quick" Lacey giggled into the microphone, "I honestly wish I had of come on different circumstances" Lacey smiled, her smile washing away quickly, as she thought about the real reasoning of her being here, running away from heartbreak.
"And although he may never hear this, I just want you to know, that although this story may be over, maybe the final chapter of you and i, I just want you to know that there wasn't a day where I didn't chose you, there wasn't a minute where you were second choice, or second place" lacey whispered, the tears filling her eyes, as she pulled a strand of hair behind her ear, taking a deep breath. "I will love you until the end of time, this life, my next life, or any life" Lacey continued to whisper, her voice being carried around the venue.
"This is remember me" Lacey smiled, wiping a tear from her face.
