Mayas POV

I have been back at work while viv was in the hospital, I start as battalion chief next week, I still haven't told my team, I just have been busy

I come to work in the morning and leave at 1:30 so I can get to the hospital by 2 to see viv

But today is a good day. She comes homes today

I have been waiting for this day all week and I'm so happy to have my girl home with me

"Hey! Where is my niece? I haven't seen her In so long" Andy ask me

"She's at the hospital, with Carina" I tell her, which isn't a lie

"Tell Carina she has to share because we miss her" she says and I smile and we go up to the beanery where everyone sat

"So... did you ever talk to Emma?" Andy ask me and I nod

"Yea, she just wanted to check on viv since she was ignoring her messages" I tell Andy and she nods

"I feel so bad for the girl, she came in here and I could see bruises on her wrist when her shirt would ride up, I would hate to see where else they are" Andy says and I nod

"I know, I wish there was something more I could do. Carina and I would take her in if it came to it but, I don't know how well that would work now" I sigh

"You could always become a foster mom" I tell Andy and she laughs

"Whatever, I couldn't" she says

"Why not?" I ask

"Our job, I run into fires everyday." She says and I nod, however what she doesn't know is she is becoming captain by the end of the week

"I'm just saying," I say and she sighs

"I don't know Maya. I mean yea I hope Emma can be safe but I don't know if I can do it" she says and I nod

We talked the rest of the morning until there was a call they left on but I needed to get the hospital so I didn't go on the call

I got to the hospital right before 2 and met Carina who already changed out of her scrubs

"You ready bambina?" She ask me and I smile and nod while taking her hand and we go in and Dr.Turner was sitting with viv in the common area

"Is everything okay?" I ask and sit down

"Yep, viv and I were just talking," she says and we all stand up And viv walks over to me and I hug her tightly

"So... everyday I want her to come in, pick a time that works for you and let me know. And if you have any questions or concerns feel free to call me any time" dr.Turner says and we nod

Carina went to discharge viv while I stayed with her and noticed she was scratching her arms so I took hold of her hand and she smiles up at me

"You ready to go home bambina?" Carina ask her and viv nods

"I'm so ready" she smiles

Vivianas POV

I get to go home today, I'm so excited but scared at the same time

Like I'm so happy to be home but on the other hand what if I get the urges to cut again?

In the hospital we were literally surrounded by people all the time. Even when we showered the doors didn't close all the way

But now? I'll have my own space again
