Chapter 33

Vivianas POV

"I don't know, Andy said there was an accident, let's go" mama says and I quickly put my shoes on and she grabs the keys and we leave the house

"She's going to be okay right? It couldn't have been too bad" I tell mama and she doesn't reply

What if My mom dies? I can't lose her, I can't lose my mom

The whole ride to the hospital I was freaking out but I knew mama was too so I didn't want to bother her anymore

"Let's go" mama says when we get to the hospital and we quickly make our way into the hospital

The ER was filled with firefighters, not only from 19, something bad must have happened and me not knowing was really freaking me out

So many people, it was so loud

"Mama" I say and she holds my hand and tia comes over to us

"Andy what happened?" Mama ask

"Is it just her?" Mama ask again

"It's a few of them" Andy answers

"Someone tell me what's happened?"'mama exclaims

"There was a building fire, couple of our own got stuck, she was one of them" Andy says

"Why was she even in there!? She's not supposed to be running into fires anymore!" Mama yells

"Carina, Carina I know, but this was a 4 alarm" Andy said and mama covers her mouth

That was bad, not as bad as 5 alarm but still bad

"Where is she? Andy where is she, where is Maya" mama ask

"She's In surgery, it wasn't good. But... it's Maya, she's strong, she'll be okay" Andy says and mama breaks down and began sobbing

I didn't know what to do, I'm not good in these situations

Jack and Dean came over and helped mama to a conference room and I stayed with Andy  in the waiting room

"Is my mom going to die?" I ask a little while later and she brushes my hair behind my ear

"Your mom is strong" she says, she didn't say no, my mom is going to die, but she can't

I didn't understand what was happening, why is this happening? What happens if mom dies, mama can't do it alone. I can't do it alone

I was starting to lose control of my breathing and that was scaring me even more,

"Viv" Andy says and I shake my head, I couldn't breathe

It felt like the whole world was spinning and the walls were getting closer

I had no idea what was happening outside of my little own bubble

"Bambina hey, it's mama" I heard mama say but I couldn't see her,

"Is she okay carina?" I heard someone ask

"Mama" I cry I felt someone take hold of my hands

"Mama" I say again and she puts my hands on her chest

"Breathe bambina, Inalare.... Esalare" she says and keeps talking to me, allowing me to calm down

Once i was able to calm down I noticed everyone staring at me and I wrapped my arms around my mama

"I'm sorry" I say and we stand up

"You're okay bambina" mama says and we walk to her office

"What's happening with mom?" I ask and she sighs
