Butch trusted Jace more than anyone and even though he loved his brothers, there were things he could only discuss with Jace. Jace understood Butch and never doubted his actions unlike Brick who scolded first or Boomer who took Brick's side no matter what. " Did anyone ever tell you that you look adorable in over-sized clothes " Buttercup face flushed red as she quickly shook her head to a no making Butch hum. " well you look really sexy in my clothes," Butch said as he kept the tray on the table that was in his room while he went and locked the door. He turned around as he saw an embarrassed Buttercup sitting on the bed and playing with the buttons.
" come on baby girl, time for breakfast," Butch said as he walked to Buttercup who quickly stood up as pain shot up to her body making her stumble but Butch caught her. He clicked his tongue as he picked her up bridal style. " I am really sorry " Buttercup shook her head as she wrapped her arms around Butch.
" If it's you, I really don't mind " Buttercup confessed trying to make sure Butch is at ease. " if you say so," Butch said as he made Buttercup sit on the couch and gave her tea. " take few sips and after that eat " Buttercup nodded her head as she did what Butch told when she saw Butch rubbing his forehead.
" everything ok? " Buttercup said touching his forehead as Butch shook his head. " hangover " Buttercup nodded as Butch took few sips from his cup. He took a plate with bread and egg as he gave it to Buttercup who took it and started eating it quickly. She was really hungry and she worked on an empty stomach even walked way too much for a body that was hurt.
" slow down kitten or else you will choke " Buttercup nodded as she ate slowly while Butch did the same. Both of them stayed quiet but it was a peaceful one where both of them were in deep thoughts. Buttercup wanted to know about Butch's feelings and why did he say he loves her. She wanted to know if he really meant it or was it all in her head. Butch on the other hand was debating and fighting with his feelings.
" Draco, what will happen to Dexter? " Buttercup questioned as Butch came back from his thought and looked at her. You need to rest " Buttercup nodded as Butch picked her up and helped her to lay down comfortably.
" I will keep this tray out and inform others " Buttercup nodded as Butch walked away. He unlocked the door as he opened it and walked back picking up the tray and walking out. " Boom " Butch yelled as he saw him entering his room with Bubbles. " yeah, " Boomer said as he looked at Butch who smirked and gave him the tray. " keep it in the kitchen and I will sleep cause my head hurts cause of the hangover while Buttercup will rest as well. She went back to her house and her step-family abused her again " Butch said as he told half-truth about Buttercup as Boomer nodded because he treated Buttercup like his sister so he wanted her to rest.
" ok go on, " Boomer said as Butch waved and quickly went to his room and locked the door. He went to his bed as he took off his shirt and closed the curtains and made the room dark. He laid down next to Buttercup as he smiled at her. " I want to tell you something," Butch said as he sighed tugging a hair strand behind Buttercup's ear.
" what is it? " Buttercup questioned as she kept her hand on top of Butch's that rested on her cheek. " I am leaving tomorrow for an important mission and I don't know when I will return or if I will return, " Butch said making Buttercup's eyes widen in shock. " y-you are leaving " Buttercup stuttered out as tears formed in her eyes. " shh babe shh I will try to not die in the battle ok but this mission is important. It's a mission in which my dad died " Buttercup wiped her tears away as she nodded her head. " take me with you " Buttercup said as Butch chuckled shaking his head.
" no, I can't. Alex won't go as well. My gang and Jace will go with me so this house will be yours " Butch said as he hugged Buttercup and kissed her head. " I am going to miss you " Buttercup cried out as Butch sighed nodding. " I will miss you more so that is why I will try to be back as soon as possible " Buttercup nodded her head as she snuggled inside Butch's chest. " sweet dreams " Butch whispered as Buttercup hummed and whispered out " sweet dreams ".
Buttercup closed her eyes and no matter how much she wanted to think and talk, her body wasn't letting her. Buttercup was exhausted so she fell asleep quickly as Butch sighed. " I hope you and Henry stay happy together. " Butch whispered out as he closed his eyes and let the darkness consume him.
