The small girl looked ahead of her staring surprised into a woman's eyes. Her brown orbs were like crystals as they peered closely at her. "What's you're name?" She asked calmly.

"K-Kaila." The girl answered turning her gaze back down at her hands hidden behind the table.

From the back of the room there was a loud cough covering up a low growl from one of the bothers, but thankfully for Kaila, with the woman present they weren't going to do anything much more than that.

After being briefed about their behavior for today weeks prior, the girl already knew the men were strictly to sit back and allow their potential buyer to ask any question without interference. And that was exactly what they were going to follow through with.

"Kaila, is it?" The woman asked waiting as the girl nodded in confirmation.

"You're quite small aren't you?" She asked again.

Kaila had never taken herself to be one of a small structure. She was just naturally this way, but nonetheless she nodded.

"As much as I enjoy this nodding game we have, I would appreciate it if you'd allow me to hear your voice."

The men in the back of the room cleared his throat roughly again scaring the girl as she didn't move.

"Kaila?" The woman called softly holding her hands out to her.

The little girls head felt heavy as she lifted her gaze up. Barely being able to keep her eyes open with the light in the room shining directly onto her, she struggled as her eyes kept fighting against her. Nearly closing every time she opened them, it was a constant battle she was losing.

"Can you turn this off." Kaila heard the woman ask in a rather demanding tone. And not a moment later the bright light on her was switched off. Blinking her eyes tiredly to adjust to the much dimmer light attached to the roof, Kaila's blurry vision starting coming back to normal. "That's better."

Reaching over the table Kaila felt her hands being lifted. Trying to focus her attention on the woman in front of her Kaila stared nervously letting her hands be moved.

She felt the woman hold both of her hands firmly within her own grasp before setting them back on the table, not letting her go.

Finally with her vision back to aid her, Kaila ironically could now see the woman clearer than before.

The woman in front of her had the deepest drown eyes she had ever seen along with her long dirty blond hair covering her shoulders. She was more surprised to see she was wearing a business suit to the event.

Amongst the crowd that she could see during the viewing period earlier, most of the audience were wearing simple clothing. While some of the others were lacking something.

"Tell me something, Kaila." The woman began again. "How old are you?"

"Nineteen." She responded leaving her hands where they sat on the table too frightened to move them from the spot the woman had laid them in.

"Nineteen." She repeated back to herself in somewhat disbelief. With the size and appearance of the girl, she would've guessed younger. "How long have you been kept here?"

"Two years."

"Two years?!" The woman's eyebrows raised as she had to hold herself back from jumping out of her seat. "And you're only nineteen."

She nodded.

Turning back to the men standing behind her the woman breathed deeply as she kept her composure. "Under what circumstances where you able to obtain her?" She deeply asked waiting eagerly for a response as the fist hidden in her lap grew paler.
