"You'll jump."

My eyes widened and my breath quickened.
"Wh-what?"

He eyed me coldly.
"You need to train overcoming yourself and seeing opportunities wherever they might be."

I gulped.
"But, that are-"
I looked down and thought:
Is he out of his mind? I'm going to die if I jump.

Inside I panicked. Over thirty metres. Down.
"Are you insane? I'll peg out if I do that!"

His expression was unemotional as always.

I looked down again.
A lot of branches, a lot of trees near it. Lots of leaves. Whatever, I can do it.
I just-

"Hey."
I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder and flinched.
My eyes looked into his.
Their grey-blue colour mixed with the yellow tone of the sunset and intensely asked me for something.
"Trust me."

I stood still and felt my own heart beat.
His warm hand was still on my shoulder.
My look wandered down to the abyss.
"Alright."

He stepped away and I took a deep breath.
I distanced from the end of the thick brach we stood on and-
calm
-sprinted on the hard wood into the air, where there was nothing underneath my feet.

With the tight hold of the blades in my hand, I didn't feel gravitation for a tiny moment. Until it reached me.
And I fell.
My eyes wandered around quickly to find a good branch somewhere in the trees, but the fall was too fast.

Somehow, I tried to fire the hooks into the tree itself, while gritting my teeth.
This was a suicide mission.
I was about to die and I hadn't done so many things in life. I had never drunk alcohol or kissed somebody. And I had never seen the places from the stories of my dad.
I closed my eyes.
This was it then.

I thought.
Until I felt a strong energy around my waist, lifting me up.
The hook had reached the tree!
"Ugh!", I lost my breath, when I was roughly pulled up.

I speeded up and my hand had almost reached a brach to hold on to, when the hook gave up and I fell back again.
This time for real.
"AAHHH!"

Suddenly I was swiftly grabbed from mid air and being pulled up.
When looking up, I could see Levi's serious facial expression and his dark hair being tossed into every direction by the wind. I stared in awe.

We landed on the ground safely and he let go of me.
Momentarily I slumped onto the earth with an empty look.
Carefully I leaned forward and embraced the ground. "Never. Again.", I whispered.

"Lunatic.", Levi said unimpressed, while looking down on me.

I rapidly got up.
Me, angry:
"Well, you weren't the one who fell down for almost 30 metres, thinking you'd die."

"Tch."

"Tch.", I imitated him and followed, when I saw that he was walking away.
"Hey, wait."
I caught up.

"Please don't tell me we'll do that again.", I said after a while.

Levi:
"No. You're not ready."

Me, bewildered:
"I-I- of course I am!"

"Tch.", Levi said in annoyance.
