In a pit there lived a magic, dirty pixie named Y/N . Not a sweltering grubby, vast pit, filled with potions and a deserted smell, nor yet a silver, old-fashioned, wild pit with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a pixie-pit, and that means warmth.
One day, after a troubling visit from the dragon Solomon , Y/N leaves her pit and sets out in search of three carefree charms. A quest undertaken in the company of giants, wizards and false ghosts.
In the search for the dragon-guarded charms, Y/N surprises even herself with her kindness and skill as a painter.
During her travels, Y/N rescues a hawk, an heirloom belonging to Solomon. But when Solomon refuses to try bouncing, their friendship is over.
However, Solomon is wounded at the Battle of Three Armies and the two reconcile just before Y/N engages in some serious bouncing.
Y/N accepts one of the three carefree charms and returns home to her pit a very wealthy pixie.
