"My favorite boy!" My dad excitedly said as I stepped aside. He walked in and greeted Chris with a big hug.

"Forget me then, huh?" I said and rolled my eyes

"I didn't forget you." My mom smiled and walked to me with open arms. We hugged and swayed side to side.

"I missed you so much! I can't stay away from you that long anymore." My mom said

"Mom, we've been away from each other longer than this before." I said

"I know... it's just I feel I should be around you more now since it's nearing your nine months." She explained

"It's no worries."

"How about I come down when it's near your due date so I can be here when it's time for you to have her." She suggested

"If you feel like traveling back down here- be my guest." I shrugged

"Ah- hem." Anaya coughed

I looked towards the door as she entered in.

"Y'all forgot me." Anaya said

"Girl , you wanted to talk on the phone so you got left in the car." My mom said and brushed her off and turned back to me.

I laughed to myself, "Hi, Anaya."

"Hey, Indi. How you been?"

"I'm fine, how have you been?" I asked

"They're placing me in my correct grade when school starts back up." She said

I raised my eyebrows, "Well that's great." I said

"Let's go see what room we're sharing." Anaya sarcastically said

"We'd be sharing if we went to a hotel too— so be quiet." My mom said to her

I ignored her and proceeded to going upstairs to the room.

"Y'all can go ahead of me, I'll be awhile." I said and paused on the stairs. The stairs have been my number one enemy lately.

"Oh okay, excuse me." Anaya said and walked past me

My mom and I both rolled our eyes at Anaya, "No you won't, come on." My mom said and took my hand.

We walked up the stairs together and towards their room they'd be sharing, "This way, Anaya." I called after her

She followed behind my mother and I.

"Ohhh, now this is huge!" My mom said, in awe.

"Why am I surprised? The entire house is gorgeous." She added

"Yeah, it's nice. Where are our beds though?" Anaya asked, standing behind my mom.

"I forgot to tell you— we're going to Walmart later to buy some air mattresses. This room is well over spacious enough for two of them." My mom explained to her.

She observed the room once more, "Hmm.. oh." She said and walked away.

I took a deep sigh, "Why'd y'all bring her?" I asked

"We— I— she's been working my nerves since we left, be nice, baby." My mom smiled

"I'll try."

We left out of the room and I showed her around.

"You all have what, 6 boxes in total left? Not bad." My mom said

"Yeah, Chris has been gettin' on me about unpacking my stuff so that's what I've been doing. He unpacked majority of his stuff the first week, and he has been tackling the other stuff since."
