#93 "Loving a Gunman"

Jisoo is a gun man and a serial killer. He used to hide behind the shadows, killing innocent people for years. For him, killing is nothing but a thing that need to be done for those unlucky and powerless people entangled their life with the powerful ones. This became his hobby and a source of living. However, he, himself, wants to change his life and be a better person without guilt and nightmares every time he breathe.

So he asked his master for his freedom. However, his master said: "I'll give you your freedom in exchange of the last mission you will receive.  Your last mission is to get the secret files on a certain girl, and kill her in the end. If you'll succeed on this mission, I'll grant your wish. But if not, your life would be in danger."

And that's how you met Jisoo, hiding his identity by using a  name "Hong Joshua".

At first, he approached you by saving your life from a rapist, and you easily trusted him, not knowing his true motives.

For you, he is a good friend, your savior and a man who has wounds you want to heal.

Today, Joshua asked you to meet him in a place where no one usually passes by. So you dashed in that place, wearing a skirt and even a light make up, hands are shivering while sitting at a bench, you looked around with a smile on your face.

"Hong Joshua, where are you?" you mumbled, looking left and right.

Joshua? You are looking for Joshua?

Joshua is actually looking at you from afar, holding a sniper and pointing it to your direction. Yes, today is the day he decided to kill you.

"I will kill her, and everything's gonna be alright," he muttered while pointing the sniper on your chest.

Inside the sniper's shot, Joshua can clearly the smile on your face while waiting for him, your excitement and your pretty mini skirt disregarding the cold winds from the upcoming winter season.

Suddenly . . .

"~Tuk tuk tuk~"

Tear fell down from his eyes.

For how many years, this is the first time Jisoo cried. And also, this is the first time he learn how to . . .

"I love you," he sobbed.

Because of you, he learned how to LOVE.

Now, his fingers are on the gun's trigger. All he needs to do is to pull it, and the job will be done. His mind said yes, but his heart says no. He wants to get the freedom, but he knows he loves you more than himself.

"~Kring kring~" his phone ring and that made him breathe.

He picked up his phone from his pocket and saw your name on the screen. While looking at you from afar, with tears in his eyes, he answered your call in a crack voice.

"H-Hello?" he mumbled.

"Joshua, where are you?" you asked in cheerful tone.

He bit his lower lip and managed to answer, "I-I'm almost there."

"Ahhh. Yeah. Before you came here, I need to tell you something."

"W-What is it?"

"Joshua, remember the first time we met? You were dazzling like a knight in shining armor. That time, I thought, I saw the man in my dreams."

He clenched his fist and covered his mouth, not letting you to hear him cry so hard.

"We became close. Tho you are so cold and mysterious, I know everything you said to me is sincere. And that's how I realized, that I love you. Joshua, I love you."

Joshua dropped the gun, shoulders went up and down as he sobs silently behind the dark.

"Joshua," you said with your voice starting to crack.

"Hmmm?"

Tears fell down from your eyes. You breathe in and out before saying, "please tell me you love me to. Then I'll be alright."

Joshua looked at you from afar, and answered, "I love you. I really love you."

Hearing him saying those words made your heart fluttered and scattered at the same time.

Slowly, your gaze went up to his direction.

"Jisoo," you said on the phone.

His eyes widened when he heard his real name from you, and when your gaze met with him.

"You can pull the trigger now. You can kill me now, Jisoo," you said while looking at him.
