#12 "That girl on Jeju" (part 2)

"I never thought I will come here just to brought his phone," Vernon sighed with a smile.

Early in the morning, his bestfriend Seungkwan left the dorm and forgot to bring his own phone. The members found and and got worried so they asked Vernon to follow him and give his bestfriend phone back.

At first, Vernon was not fine going out on their first official week vacation the company had stated.  He preferred staying at the dorm instead, watches movies, eats snacks and etc. which he enjoyed. But when he reached his destination, he now, never regret coming to this wonderful place called - "Jeju".

But, he forgot a big problem he should think before coming here.

"Oh? Where should I find him?" he asked to himself.

Jeju might be a small town to find his friend but for a person like Vernon, it might took a day just to find him!

He is not good in remembering places at all!

"Chwe Vernon?" a sweet voice from a girl he heard.

He quickly took a glance and faces who owned that sweet voice - it was yours.

"You are Chwe Vernon, right?" you asked while intently staring at him.

You are wearing a red dress with whit polka dots and a pair of white sneakers. In a summary, your style looks older than the girls Vernon met in the Seoul City.

But to Vernon's eyes, you are the most beautiful girl he saw in his whole life!

Actually, Vernon doesn't have any specific ideal type. He said, he will know it when he met the one. And guess what? At this moment, he thought that meeting a simple girl like you is a God-given chance to answer his prayer!

"Y-Yes, I a-am C-Chwe Vernon," he stuttered. Vernon is a type of guy who knows how to stay calm, bit wasn't it odd to saw him stuttering in front of a girl?

Or maybe, until now, the sparks in his eyes while looking at you are still alive, fading the colors around but leaving you, only you in his sight?

"Oh, nice to meet you! I am one of your fans!" you chuckles and bowed at him.

Finally, he woke up from day dreaming and came to his senses.

"Oh, yeah. Thanks," he responded.

"Seungkwan will be glad to know that you are here," you added.

"Seungkwan?!" he gasped. "You knew him?! I mean, yeah, you probably knew him cause if you stan our group it is possible for you to . . . I mean . . ."

Before he finished his statement,  a man appeared and shouted, "Hansol-ah! What are you doing here?!"

It was your childhood friend, Seungkwan.

"S-Seungkwan?" Vernon muttered. He glanced at the view of the two of you.

It may be fate that Vernon met you, but he never expect to meet you as his bestfriend's first love.

Seungkwan's friends and families holds a big welcome party at that night. You and Vernon were invited of course!

The three of you sat at the corner.

Seungkwan tells some jokes, experiences, moments he had when he first came to Seoul, life of an idol, dorm experiences and more.

You laughed at every words he said, not knowing that there is a man who is watching your smile all the time.

You looked at Vernon and saw that he is staring at you with a smile on his face. He then, tilt his head and looked at the other side like a thief caught in act.

"So, how about you?" you asked to Vernon.

Vernon looked back, and to Seungkwan while pointing himself and asking, "Me?" as an emphasis.

"Yeah, you should open your mouth and talk Hansol. My throat hurts from talking this and that," Seungkwan agreed. Who told him to talk nonstop anyway? Nevermind.

Back to Vernon, he looked at you, scratching his nape and letting an awkward laugh out.

"Ahmmm, there is nothing special about me. But I love imagining things," he said.

"Imagining what?" you responded.

"Random things like fantasy or science management. Weird right?" he answered.

You covered your mouth and laughed hard.

"Hahaha!" Seungkwan laughed along. "Vernon is really weird. He sometimes laugh alone!" he added before sipping his lemonade.

While you are still on Vernon's hilarious story . . .

"So, I heard that you are Seungkwan's first love. Did you guys had the some mutual feelings or what? Like, you know, a compromise or is he courting you? Something like that," Vernon asked seriously.

Seungkwan almost spit the juice from his mouth. You stopped laughing and heat flush all over to your face.

It is true. Your first love is no other than Seungkwan but you never heard that you are his first too!

You looked at your childhood friend, eyes filled of questions and anticipation. Is he going to tell that he likes you? He loves you? He wants you? Or what?!

"W-What are you saying Hansol?! Me and (Y/N) are just a friend!" Seungkwan explained.

J.U.S.T A F.R.I.E.N.D, just a friend, just a friend, it echoed inside your ears. You are expecting something, some words that can satisfy your needs. But in the end, you got hurt.

It is true that you and Seungkwan are just a friend, but for you, you saw him more than that. You tried to gulp but you felt like a big stone blocking inside your throat. You bit your lower lip while looking down.

Until...

"Oh, if you are just a friend, it is okay to say that I like (Y/N)," Vernon said out of a sudden.

With your wide-eyed, you looked at Vernon, as well as Seungkwan.

"W-What did you say?" Seungkwan stuttered.

Vernon looked at you, a very sincere way from his beautiful eyes melting your existence.

"(Y/N) is my ideal type. I think I have a lot of interest with your childhood friend Seungkwan-ah," Vernon said.

Seungkwan looked at you, clenching his fists, "Y-You mean you like (Y/N)?"

"Yes," Vernon nodded. "I want to know her better." He stood up, grabbed your hand and asked, "can we take a walk (Y/N)?"
