Under a sky of perfect midnight velvet, under stars so brilliant they drew the eyes heaven bound, the lyrics of starry starry night played softly in Seokmin's mind. As the light twinkled and the unheard music played, his steps fell lightly over the bench.

"She loves him," he whispered. "She loves his husband."

The tears burst forth like water from a dam, spilling down on his face. He feel the muscles of his chin tremble like a small child and he looks toward the moon, as if the light could soothe him.

"Hey," some guy called him.

Seokmin almost swallowed his gum, turning to take in the expression on your gay best friend face, Joshua. His gaze was steady, eyes wide like an innocent child, Seokmin released a short sharp breath before he wiped his own tears.

"Hey. What is it?"

Joshua paused before answering, his tone dropping to a softer octave. "You are thinking about my best friend, right?" Joshua sat beside him.

This time Seokmin took a physical step backward while sitting. Joshua just watched, eyes still like headlights on full beam. Seokmin must heard that this guy is actually a gay based on your story.

"W-Why?" Seokmin stuttered, hiding his upper body using his hands.

Joshua saw it and laughed. "Just because I'm gay doesn't mean I hit on every guy. Geez. Do you hit on every girl you met?" he teased. His smile was soft without any hint of femininity, his strong bone structure was all male.

"You are not a gay, aren't you?" Seokmin narrowed his eyes.

"Oh," Joshua covered his mouth. "You got me. Hehe, I am a real man dude. Keep this as a secret to (Y/n). Okay?"

"What the hell? She is always with you and you acted like a gay?" Seokmin laughed and shook his head.

"Uhuh," Joshua answered then looked at the sky.

"Why? You like my best friend, right?" Seokmin looked above too.

"Hmmm," Joshua muttered. "A lot in fact."

Seokmin chuckled. "(Y/n) is a lovable girl. A girl you can't leave, that's how she is."

JOshua looked at him with curiosity. "But we can't have her. She is already married."

Seokmin looked back, lips are straight.

Joshua sighed and smile bitterly. "(Y/n) really loves you. I remember the time when she always talked about you. Your hilarious story, your family, everything! Even your first kiss with her."

"R-Really?" Seokmin stuttered.

He nodded as an answer. "But things don't stay where they are. Sometimes, you need to fake a smile, tell that your okay and let it go while waving goodbye. That is... real love."

Tears fell again from Seokmin's eyes. It was more than crying, it was the kind of desolate sobbing that comes from a person drained of all hope. He wiped his tears and stood up. "You are right, thanks." He tapped Joshua's shoulder and run away.

"Y-Yeah," Joshua murmured. He hugged bend his knees and hugged it, looking down. "I need to let go too." Tears running down on his  face, like the water flowing through the drains. All the things he said is like rubbing salt into his own open wounds.

On the other side, Seokmin went in inside your room and saw you laying on your bed.

You quickly wiped your wet eyes and stared at him. "Hey, what is it?" you asked in cracked voice. Your eyes are soggy, it is enough to tell him you are hurting. You stood up and faces him.

"(Y/n), g-go home. Go to your husband," the he fake a smile.

"S-Seokmin," you called his name. Those words tell you that he is finally letting you go. And the first thing that came up to your mind is Jihoon. "Seokmin," you called him again.

"Don't worry, I am okay. Now go. He is waiting for you," he smiled again, but his breathing is getting narrowed.

There is such sadness in leaving a place of strong love, a place where fond memories grew as fast as the clover in the grass. You know you will savour each memory with him, so strongly that it will almost live once more. But right now it is your time to go, to do what you need to do, to make the changes and the sacrifices that are necessary.

"I am sorry!" you said before grabbing your bag and run outside.

'But things don't stay where they are. Sometimes, you need to fake a smile, tell that your okay and let it go while waving goodbye. That is... real love.' Those words keep on repeating inside Seokmin's mind. "Yeah, this is real love," he whispered.

He smiled, yet the sadness flowed through his veins and deadened his mind. It was a poison to his spirit, dulling his killing off his other emotions until it was the only one that remained.

"Goodbye, my first love," he muttered as his sat down on the floor.
