As Abigail and Scarlett stood before the colourful entrance of the amusement park, Abigail's eyes lit up with sheer joy

The anticipation of a fun day ahead was etched on her face, but a glance at Scarlett revealed a notably emotionless expression

Abby's excitement didn't waver, though she couldn't help but notice Scarlett's lack of enthusiasm

"Hey,"

she began, concern in her voice,

"do you feel uncomfortable here? We can totally leave if you're not up for it."

Scarlett's response was swift, her hand reaching out to hold Abby's, and she leaned in for a gentle kiss

"No, babe,"

Scarlett reassured her, her voice soft yet determined

"I love the idea. I'm here to do whatever you wish."

With a renewed sense of connection, they stepped into the amusement park, only to spot Emily and Harley waving at them from a distance

Scarlett's annoyance was evident, her eyebrows furrowing as she glanced at Abby

"Why did you invite them?"

she questioned, her tone bordering on frustration

"I thought this was supposed to be a date."

Abby met Scarlett's gaze, a hint of amusement in her eyes

"Oh, no, it's just a friend outing,"

she clarified, attempting to defuse the situation

Scarlett's agitation was clear as she retorted,

"Well, I don't see myself as just your friend."

Abby couldn't help but smirk, realizing she had pushed Scarlett's buttons

"Don't worry, you're my best friend with benefits,"

she teased

Scarlett's expression shifted, a playful glint returning to her eyes

"Best friend, huh? I guess I can live with that."

To smooth things over, Abby took Scarlett's hand and led her toward Emily and Harley

Before she could give them a hug, Scarlett tugged at her hoodie and suggested they save the greetings for later, insisting on diving into the park's adventures first

Observing Scarlett's behaviour, Emily chimed in with a knowing grin,

"Someone's looking a little jealous."

Scarlett huffed; her cheeks slightly flushed

"Jealous? No way."

Despite wanting to say something, Scarlett was pulled by Abigail towards the park's entrance, putting the incident behind them

As they entered the amusement park, Abby's excitement surged as she marvelled at all the thrilling rides

Eager to try them all, she couldn't decide which one to go on first

They had been walking for about 20 minutes, and Abby was still undecided

Feeling a bit tired, Scarlett held Abby's hand and affectionately called her

"Princess,"

Her voice carried a soft plea as she suggested,

"Hey, can we take a little break? Just to catch our breath?"
