When life takes a surprising turn

Scarlett carried Abigail in her arms and followed Lucas to the parking area.

At the hospital, doctors were examining Abigail, and everyone waited outside the room.

Arianna placed her hand on Scarlett's shoulder and said,

"Everything is going to be alright. Abigail hasn't been eating properly since that incident, and I think that's why she became weak and collapsed."

Scarlett nodded, but her worry still lingered.

The doctor emerged from the room, and Scarlett anxiously inquired,

"How is my wife? Is she okay?"

The doctor reassured her, saying,

"Everything is fine. Sometimes, these things happen in this condition. Just take care of her and come for monthly checkups."

Scarlett was puzzled and asked,

"What do you mean by 'this condition'?"

The doctor smiled and explained,

"Your wife is pregnant. Every pregnant woman experiences certain symptoms during pregnancy."

Scarlett's eyes widened in surprise, and then Arianna hugged her and playfully said,

"Congratulations! I can't believe you got her pregnant in just one night."

Lucas joined in with laughter and added,

"Scarlett, you'll have to be patient. Aurora hasn't even turned one, and you've made her pregnant again."

Scarlett was left speechless; her only thought was to see Abby as soon as possible.

They approached the room, but then Lucas received a phone call and said,

"You both go in. I'll be back in a minute."

Scarlett and Arianna entered the room to find Abigail lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling with tears falling from her eyes.

Arianna called out,

"Abby,"

but there was no response.

Scarlett wanted to say something, but Lucas interrupted and said,

"We have to leave now; it's urgent. Our lawyer called, and we need to meet him. Let's go."

Scarlett looked at Abigail and told Arianna,

"Take care of her. I'll be back soon."

Lucas and Scarlett left the room.

Arianna came to Abigail's bedside and asked,

"Abby, are you okay?"

Abigail closed her eyes and started sobbing, saying,

"I'm sorry, Arianna. I don't know how this happened."

Arianna held Abigail's hand and reassured her,

"Abby, why are you apologizing? You didn't do anything wrong."

Abby sat up and replied,

"Arianna, please don't say that. I have ruined everything. I've messed up everything. I betrayed Scarlett, but believe me, I never wanted this to happen. I don't know how I can face Mom, Dad, and even my kids."

Abigail started crying uncontrollably.

Arianna went out to get some water, but when she returned, Abigail was nowhere to be found.
