Author's Note: If you know me in real life then you would know that Alice in Wonderland had always been my favorite fairy tale. This is a long one, so please take your time reading this, and I hope you enjoy. I'll see you again on Friday :)

One shots (BTS):

🎤 I, I'll get by.

I, I'll survive.

When the world's crashing down.

When I fall and hit the ground.

I will turn myself around, don't you try and stop me.

I, I won't cry.

I found myself in Wonderland.

Get back on my feet, on the ground.

Is this real? Is this pretend?

I'll take a stand, until the end.

I, I'll get by.

I, I'll survive.

When the world's crashing down.

When I fall and hit the ground.

I will turn myself around, don't you try and stop me.

I, I won't cry. 🎤

Marina Lee had always loved reading books.

It was a way for her to escape her reality, wandering through the fictional lands, lost inside the pages of the story.

Her parents were always fighting, and her older siblings were never home, leaving her alone with her overly neglectful parents.

It wasn't pleasant, to say the least.

Today's book was Alice in Wonderland, and she was sitting in her backyard underneath the pine tree, holding the book in her lap.

It was a beautiful day to read outside- the late summer sun was shining, and the weather was perfect, not too hot or too cold.

Plus, her parents were arguing again, and she could hear them if she listened hard enough- but she wasn't.

Her hazel eyes remained focused on the words on pages, focused on the story.

And, the more she read, the more she wanted to be the girl in the book- going to a fictional world to escape her reality.

"I wish I was Alice," she whispered to herself, unaware that a tear fell down her face.

"Going to fictional words to escape my troubling reality."

The wind rustled for a couple minutes, but she didn't think anything off it, continuing to read her book silently.

That was until she heard a soft voice mumble to themselves, coming from somewhere in the garden.

"I'm late, I'm late. I can't believe I'm late."

She looked up, her hazel eyes looking around her, thinking that she was imagining things.

You're just imagining things, Marina, she thought to herself, continuing to look around, only to see green grass and brown trees in the garden.

It's just a voice in your head.

And she believed her thoughts at first, continuing to do one last sweep of the garden, about to focus her attention back onto her book.

But that was when she saw it. A white rabbit.
