This one shot was so frustrating to write. Here's why: I wrote this one shot once, and when I went to edit it, I accidentally deleted it. Yeah. I had no choice but to rewrite it a second time, so if it feels a little rushed and all over the place that's why.

One shots (Namjoon):

Namjoon Kim never knew his mother.

He was raised by his single father, Seokjin, who was the Co-owner and head chef of a popular French Korean restaurant in the city of Seoul, South Korea.

The other owner and manager being his cousin, Nayeon Im, who was younger than him by three years.

It wasn't easy for Seokjin to be a single father, to raise his son by himself, especially since his girlfriend walked out on them when Namjoon was just one year old.

Her reasoning behind that decision being that she was way too young to become a mother.

Which was a bullshit excuse in Seokjin's opinion, especially since they were both twenty seven when their son was born.

And it wasn't his fault that the condom broke either, which left her pregnant with their son.

Besides, the day when his son was born was the best day of his life.

It left him with a son, a wonderful son who wasn't afraid to express himself, even if it went against gender norms.

Which nobody cared about anyways.

Or at least Seokjin didn't, raising his son to just be himself, along with being polite and intelligent, even if that meant letting him wear makeup and dresses.

He also didn't care about what other people thought about his son, teaching him from a young age that it was okay to be yourself.

That you didn't have to follow what other people wanted you to be; just being yourself was enough.

And, like I mentioned earlier, it was hard being a single father, especially since his son was so mischievous growing up, often getting into trouble both with his father and school board.

But, as he grew older though, he slowly began growing out of that phase, becoming more introverted and reserved, preferring to read a book alone than interact with other people.

He would still interact with his family though, like his Aunt Nayeon, and grandparents who loved their little "Jooniebug," which was what they called him.

He even loved babysitting his cousins Jimin and Jungkook, who were his Uncle Taehyung's kids- the younger brother of his father.

They were younger than him by five years, and looked at him as both a role model and older brother.

Basically what I'm saying is that life was perfect for the little family of two.

Until it wasn't.

Right now the father son duo were standing at the island that was located in the middle of the spacious kitchen, baking chocolate chip and sugar cookies from one of Seokjin's famous recipes.

From scratch of course, because you can't expect a professional chef that trained at a famous cafe in Paris after he graduated from college to use prepared box mix.

Can you?

There were two reasons as to why the father son duo were baking cookies that evening.

The first reason was that it was still early evening, only 07:30 PM, after they finished their dinner which consisted of beef stew and some white rice.
