Author's Note: I've been re-watching the Pirates of the Caribbean movies with a friend, which is how I got the inspiration to write this one shot. I'm sorry if the ending's a little lame, I didn't really know how to end this :)

One shots (Seokjin):

The year was 1736.

Piracy was on the rise, meaning that more and more governments sent out their navy's to take them down, capturing them.

More and more ports hung people for piracy, and had stricter rules about letting people in- in order to get into most ports, you had to have a clean background, not being associated with pirates in any way.

Which wasn't a problem with most people, due to the fact that most families deeply encouraged their children to join the navy, stopping the rise of pirates.

And one of those people was a man named Seokjin Kim.

He was a captain for the Royal King's Navy, meaning that he worked for the king of England, capturing pirates.

He was a handsome young man with black hair, and dark brown eyes, who loved his job- believing that pirates were their enemies, and needed to be punished.

I mean, they only thought of themselves, pillaging and plundering, keeping the treasure for themselves- which was the opposite of what both him, and most people, believed in.

Meaning that he heavily encouraged his son, Namjoon, to follow in his footsteps- wanting him to become captain one day, and help bring the end to piracy.

But the nine year old didn't want to do that, however- in fact, he idolized pirates, and looked up to them, believing that they were people who were misunderstood.

He would even read books about pirates, not caring that his father didn't approve of his little fantasy- why would he when he was a literal pirate hunter.

That day was no different, due to the fact that he was lying on the bed in his fathers sleeping chambers, reading a book about the history of pirates.

And it was really interesting, due to the fact that it talked about Shipwreck Cove, along with the many pirate ports that were famous among pirates- like Singapore, and Tortuga.

He was reading silently that morning, keeping his golden hazel eyes focused on the chapter that he was reading, not looking up when the door opened.

His father closed the door behind him, using his hands to straighten out his uniform, his dark brown eyes immediately noticing the book that his son was reading.

"Namjoon," he said, keeping his tone of voice calm, walking towards the bed, before sitting down a couple feet away from the toddler.

"I thought that I told you to stop this little fantasy of yours."

"It's not fantasy, dad," his son just responded, keeping his tone of voice bored, while flipping the page.

"Besides, don't you think you're a little too harsh towards pirates?"

"Of course not. I mean, they pillage and plunder, murder entire towns and villiages just to get what they want. In my eyes, we're giving them what they deserve."

"Why do you hate them so much? You never told me."

"Have I ever told you about your mother?" He asked, keeping his tone of voice calm, while trying his best not to get emotional.

He watched as the toddler just shook his head, before closing the book, placing it down next to him onto the bed.

He then changed his position, so that he was sitting next to his father, trying his best to comfort him.
