Chapter 155 - Recovering

The moment Leia and Han entered inside the Senate Hospital, they saw all of them in the waiting room: Chewie standing there, walking back and forth, while Ken was sitting on one of the couches, having Padmé on his lap, while Aurea was sitting on the other couch with Alli, while Ben was laying down next to her sleeping, while Bail and Anakin were both on their floating cribs sleeping as well, alongside with 3PO and R2, who stand there in silence.

Leia ran towards Chewie with tears in her eyes.

"Chewie where is my daughter? I want to see my daughter," she said looking around.

Chewie growled at them.

"The doctor is still inside and they didn't let you in?" Han talked to him.

Chewie nod and growled more.

"We need to wait here while they are taking care of her," Han continue.

"I'm her mother. I want to see her," Leia said with tears in her eyes while she ran to Han and hugged him.

"I know. Me too," Han told hugging her too.

Dan and Gracy were watching the scene holding their son, while Ines and Luke were both holding their twins girls. They knew what they were feeling at the moment. Months ago, they almost lost their little Alli, that now was unaware what was going on, and was smiling at her father who kissed her forehead.

"How did this happen?" Gracy asked sitting down on the couch, holding her son closer to her.

"I know. Those cookies were for your kids and because of that my daughter's life now it is danger. This is all your fault," Han told looking at Luke and Ines, who didn't say anything.

"Han, stop," Leia said looking at Han.

Looking at his brother and sister in law, Han sighed.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean that. Please forgive me," He said walked towards Luke and Ines and stroke the twins head who looked at their uncle and smile at him, making Han smile. "Uncle Han loves you and I didn't mean that," he said kissing the top of their head.

"Hey Han, we know what you are feeling right now. Trust us and we know you didn't mean that." Luke smiled at his friend.

"I don't get it. What happened?" Ines asked looking at Ken and Aurea.

"I don't know," Aurea said with a sad voice. The poor woman didn't stop crying since that happened. "I was inside in the twins bedroom, because the twins, the four of them were taking a nap, and I went to check cause I heard a whimp and Alli was awake. When I got to the living room, Iris had a box on her hands and eating one of those cookies that Ben loves so much. I told her not to, but the poor thing said she was hungry. Chewie went to get the burgers we ordered, and she told it was only one. Ben was about to eat one too."

Ines looked at her son.

"He didn't ate right?" she asked sitting next to her boy, who was still sleeping.

"No. Ken took the cookie from the kid's hand before he would put it in his mouth. He started to cry and I went towards him, so I didn't know why he did that. I have asked why he did to his own cousin and then I heard this noise and I looked back and Iris was on the floor, convulsing."

"Ken is that true?" Dan asked to his son.

"Yes." he looked at his father and then to Han and Leia.

"How many did she ate?" Leia asked the boy.

"Only one. We were playing the holo game and then there was a noise at the door, and 3PO went there. When he came back he had a box of cookies on his hands."

"3PO who gave those cookies?" Luke asked him

"Oh Master Luke, nobody. When I reached the door there was the box, outside on the floor with a note saying it was for the family. I brought inside." the droid said looking from Luke to Han. "The box looked from Dex Diner actually."

"Yes. Iris even said that, but I said that was strange because normally Dex only send cookies when Uncle Luke and Aunt Ines goes there. I even examined the box myself. I couldn't do anything because all of the sudden she was already eating one. She gave one to Ben. Well he made him flew from her hand to his hand with the force."

Ines smiled at her boy.

"He is doing that a lot lately."

"Right after that she grabbed her stomach, and said she wasn't feeling good, and I knew something was wrong with the cookies, so I pulled the one that Ben's had on his hand, before he put in his mouth, with the force."

"You did good, Ken. Thank you." Luke nod to his nephew.

"Then Chewie came and we took her here," Ken finished.

"The doctors took her inside and we are here waiting for far with no news," Aurea said. "This is all my fault. I shouldn't let her eat that cookie," the old woman said crying once more. Leia sat next to her and wrapped her arms around her shoulders.

"No it is not Aurea. Iris always love those cookies too. And you couldn't possible know those were poisoned."

Han was walking around.

"Why are they taking so long? I want to know how my daughter is," he said.

20 minutes later the door opened and Dr. Lina came from inside and approached the whole family.

The moment they saw her, Han and Leia stood up right away and walked towards her

"Dr. Lina. How is our daughter?" Leia asked

"Please don't lie to us. Is our daughter in danger?" Han asked her too.

Dr. Lina smiled at them.

"Relax. Your daughter is out of danger," she informed, made everyone in the waiting room sighed in relieve. "In fact you have to thank to this young man, who had the intelligence to bring the cookies with him. It was thanks to him that we were able to know the type of poison and begin the treatment right away. So he is a hero," she smiled at the young man, who blush.

"I knew I would like your kid the moment I saw him," Han said smile at him while Leia hugged him.

"Thank you so much" she said kissing his cheeks.

"When can we see her?" Han asked.

"We were able to give her the treatment and clean the poison out of her system. She is sleeping but she needs to be here for the next couple of days. If you want to see her you can. But only her parents. At least for now," she said and nodding she left the room.

"Look just stay with her. Luke and I will take care of the twins. It is nothing we aren't use too, right?" she smile at her husband.

"Of course. Give her a kiss from us when she wakes up," Luke said smiling.

"Thanks guys for everything," Leia smiled looking at them. Going to their twins Leia and Han kissed their little boys before they went to Iris bedroom, while the rest of the family went to their homes.

Luke looked back at her sister and brother in law one last time, when they entered the room and saw Leia crying as she watch her daughter on her bed sleeping. Iris was his niece and he had a suspicious of who sent those cookies, but he promise he would found for sure who was behind this and bring him to justice.

Iris will be okay thanks to Ken. Now who did this? Any ideas?
