"george how could you do this, you've got your two closest friends fighting over you!" karl clutched onto quackity, arguing mercy.

"yeah at least get something out of it, like a kiss or something."

the calls from the other two on the sidelines were unprompted yet appreciated because it gave dream an opening to loosen his grip on the brunette and push him out of direct line of combat.

"yeah that's right dream, fight me like a man." sapnap ignored the others, beating at his chest in a solely testosterone-fuelled action. dream was both encouraging and worried, wanting to see how far he would go but seriously considering his rate of survival. sapnap might have been smaller but he was filled with ungovernable fury.

"good to see you are still as patronizing as ever." the blonde played up his next move, stretching out his arms and cracking his knuckles. he made a check to his side, finding confidence in a single pair of eyes before he was ready to finish off this puny little boy.

"wait!" karl called out, positioning himself evenly between them. "we have a suggestion,"

"all cards on the table." the focus shifted between them, unsure about the idea when quackity's laugh of mischief hung around them. still, dream wrestled with the brawny front he was still trying to hold as quackity continued, "george thinks there should be a prize for the winner."

naturally, any percent of attention from the blonde that wasn't previously dialed in snapped into focus the moment a prize was in question.

with all eyes on the brunette who had been comfortably swaddled in two hoodies of dream's own, he spoke up with a single clear intention. "the winner gets a kiss."

it wasn't a very indulgent prize, but it would be worth it for dream to win and he was sure sapnap was moments away from forfeiting. that was until he turned back to their makeshift battlefield to face confident blazing eyes.

"first i'm gonna sweep the floor with your corpse, and then i'm gonna steal your man."

dream was unsure why what the other had said messed with his mental so badly, but he surprised himself with the charge he ran at him with. in process of their collision he scooped snow and berated the other with illogical speed and questionable accuracy.

and because sapnap was easily influenced and already had adrenaline coursing through his veins, he let out a terrifying scream to assert his dominance and charged right back.

at their speed the collision would've been concerning, that was if it weren't for dream's last-minute quick thinking. he slid into sapnap's feet and robbed the younger of his balance, sending him into the ground while he regained his rightfully deserved upper ground. both of them preparing for the next wave of many.

"i'm gonna steal him from right underneath you." sapnap wiped snow from his jeans as he regained his previous position. circling the blonde similar to the way an animal would their prey. the blonde concentrated on the man's foot placement, subtly gaining information as he prepared to sweep him to the floor again. he hadn't exactly expected the other to pounce onto him until he was already in the air.

they hit the ground, accompanied by the wincing of their audience. and because of good sportsmanship sapnap checked on the man who had taken the brunt of the impact. "you alright?"

"yeah," he confirmed, gathering his mind as the other attempted to stand from their point of collision. however when three voices cheered his opposing side he knew he had to win the crowd and fast. with an evil smirk, he kneed sapnap square in the crotch.

some would say the win was dirty, but it was a win nonetheless, and dream was willing to bend unnegotiated rules if it meant he would get a kiss for his prize.

he propped himself up on his elbows and watched as karl and quackity found sapnap's side to assist the embarrassed off the ground. behind them, george shook his head with the roll of his eyes, but a smile persisted. he passed the other three giving the loser a sympathetic head pat before pressing his way towards the bona fide winner.

dream couldn't tell if he had been smiling before, but he knew for a fact he was smiling now. he outreached a hand suggesting the brunette help him off the ground, their hands entwine yet dream still has to lift most of his weight himself. "when do i get my prize?"

george remains quiet while he links their arms and leads them closer to the other half of the group. it's when they're barely out of earshot that he whispers to the blonde, "don't be a sore winner," and presses a quick kiss to his cheek.

the blonde had been a little disappointed that he hadn't gotten much more, "that's all?" but the three that stood beyond them sharing the same unamused look convinced him not to complain further.

"if you two are done, we think sapnap won by foul." of course quackity would want to attest to the circumstances.

it was dream's turn to roll his eyes, "we never-" george kept him in check by squeezing his arm and detached himself from the blonde's side. and if his prize wasn't already unfair, he had to watch the loser receive a prize of his own.

sapnap taunted him with a wink while he poked his tongue out like a child. dream simply shook his head and flipped off his friend with a stupid smile. "you better cherish it because it's the last you'll ever get."

"you can literally get a kiss from him whenever you want, why are you being so selfish." sapnap tried to cling to george but he'd always manage to find his place beside the blonde.

dream shrugged, helping the brunette with his hood as they all retreated back into the coffee shop. "i don't like to share."

toki got a job and she has not had time to do anything since ),: i miss writing so bad it's not even funny (suprise cameo from corpse, not really but i thought it'd be funny to say)
