-Chapter One Hundred and Fifteen-

"What's so bad that no one can ever go over to this island?" Usopp asked. "Is it full of monsters?" he fearfully inquired, already thinking the worse before anyone even had a chance to answer him.

"It's sacred ground" Conis answered.

"Sacred ground?" Robin echoed.

"You mean like it's holy or something?" I asked, raising an eyebrow as the blonde nodded.

"But it is so much more than that, it's the land where God lives" she further explained.

"There's actually a God and he lives on an island up here that no one's allowed to walk on?" Luffy questioned, sounding and looking almost confused by this revelation.

"Right" Conis nodded as if she didn't just reveal something that many would see as quite serious and almost life-changing.

"You mean the God? The same one from all the old stories?" Chopper blinked. "He actually lives on an island next door to you?" he innocently asked, curiously tilting his head.

"He does" Conis once again nodded. "I'm sure that everyone noticed the big sign that said "Godland Skypiea," that means this land is ruled by the almighty God, Eneru" she said.

"God's name is Eneru?" Sanji asked.

"What an odd name, I always thought God didn't have a name..." I muttered in thought, mulling over this new information as I tried to slowly digest it. It's not like I wasn't a believer or anything...just that something didn't feel quite right about any of this the more I thought about it.

"He knows and sees everything" the blonde continued, further solidifying the idea that she was speaking of the same God that we've all heard stories about throughout our lives.

"Everything?" Usopp nervously questioned which got him a firm nod in return.

"He keeps his all-seeing eyes focused on everyone, always" Conis said.

"For real?!" the sharpshooter panicked, quick to stand up from his seat and frantically look all around him.

"Like, right now?" Luffy asked.

"Yes" Conis nodded.

"I hate it when people stare at me and I can't see them" Chopper whimpered with a shiver.

"Same..." I muttered in agreement.

"God, huh?" Zoro suddenly scoffed as he leaned back in his seat.

"Wait, you mean you don't believe in God? But why not?" Chopper innocently asked.

"Well for me it's not a matter of belief—I don't see proof of it one way or another, and to be honest, I don't really care to" Zoro shrugged. "But if you want to go ahead, it's not up to me to deny anyone their little beliefs" he said, causing the reindeer to stare up at him in awe.

"I mean everyone's entitled to their own beliefs" I hummed. "Besides, humans are such stubborn creatures that you're only wasting your breath in trying to put down or take someone's beliefs away from them...you're also a fucking asshole as well for trying to do so..." I said, grumbling the last part to myself as I took a sip from my drink.

"So, Conis...," Sanji started, "if this guy—Eneru—lives in the Upper Yard and it's close, then you must have set eyes on him before" he assumed.

"Absolutely not! It's forbidden to go there!" Conis gasped, frantically waving her hands in front of her as if to stop the blond in his line of thinking. "The Upper Yard is sacred ground and a place only for God to rest, I'm sorry!" she apologized.
