Kaden X Reader- Soft fur (Request)

This is a bit short but I hope y'all will like it nonetheless.

After (Y/N) was finally done training, she realized that she still actually had some time left before dinner was announced at the dining hall so, she thought she could go in the woods and relax a little, with her favorite book.

And so, book in hand, she walked down a narrow path in the nearby woods, searching for a good place to read.

Finally, she stopped by a nice dense tree, which gave her a nice shady spot for her to relax and calmly read under.

She sat by the tree, leaned against the trunk of the tree. Opening her book where the bookmark was, she resumed her reading quietly, enjoying the nice shade the tree was providing her with.

Minutes had passed, then an hour, and little by little, (Y/N) couldn't help but let her eyelids fall slowly, to the point where she fell into a peaceful slumber.

Finally opening her eyes, (Y/N) stretched out her arms, letting out a big yawn, only to find out a few seconds later, that something was not right. Her head resting on someone's shoulder, while something warm was surrounding her. She was not alone. Turning her head around, she gasped.

"Eep! K-Kaden!" (Y/N) jumped on the spot at the sight of her good friend, and the one and only kitsune, Kaden.

Kaden simply said, a grin plastered on his face, "Hey, (Y/N)!"

"Gods, you scared me to death... H-How long have you been here?"

Kaden's smile fell, "Oh, sorry for scaring you. I didn't mean to. I haven't been here for too long," his smile soon came back, his cheeks becoming pink, "As soon as I saw you, I just had to join you! You're so cute while sleeping!"

(Y/N) felt her face turn red, "Hum, t-thank you..."

"What were you doing here, anyways?" Looking at the open book on the grass, he picked it up, "Reading?"

The girl nodded, "Yes. Until I fell asleep."

The two remained silent. What were they supposed to say now? Awkwardly looking around, (Y/N)'s gaze fell upon her friend's tail. So that was the warm thing surrounding her...

"Hum, Kaden?"

"Yeah?"

"Say... About your tail, is it as fluffy as some people make it out to be? I know! It's a very random question, but I couldn't help but-"

"Sure it is! Wanna touch it?"

(Y/N)'s eyes widened, "Excuse me?"

"I was love it when people stroke my fur, and you look like you really want to so- why not touch it?"

"Oh, hum- Are you sure I should?"

"Totally! Go ahead!"

"Okay..."

Hesitant at first, (Y/N) rested her hands on his tail. His tail was so soft and fluffy. It felt amazing. Slow at first, (Y/N) started caressing his fur.

Looking back at him, she asked quietly, "Is this okay?"

Kaden displayed a goofy grin, as he nodded fervently.

As she looked back at his tail, she realized happily that it was wagging, "Aw, Kaden! Your tail is wagging!"

She giggled, similar to a child, as she continued to pet his fur.

Kaden could tell that she thoroughly (or should I say fur-ully? Ok I'm sorry) enjoyed brushing his tail, and by his wagging tail, (Y/N) could tell that he was enjoying it as well!

With sparkles in her eyes, (Y/N) looked back at Kaden, "Kaden! Your tail is so soft!"

"The softest in the land!"

"Would it be alright if I pet it some more?"

"Totally! Stroke me behind the ears too!"

(Y/N) chuckled, proceeding to stroke him behind the ears, "Sure, why not."

This fun little session the two had kept on going for more time. Of course, time came when the two had to get back. But (Y/N) and Kaden promised each other that they would continue doing this very soon.
