"How do you feel?" Honeypool checked.

Bramblestripe stretched, feeling a little sore but nothing serious. "Fine."

"Alright then I think you're ready to go back to full warrior duties."

"That's great!"

Bramblestripe left the medicine den. He had been there for a quarter moon. The first few days he had spent sleeping, unwilling and unable to face the world just yet. After that, he had been bored. Thankfully, Honeypool allowed him visitors and he was allowed to leave his nest to stretch his legs.

Still, it had been far too long.

Brightwhisker and Duskflower were taking care of the elders that day. Hawkstar and Fernshade were both in camp and hurried to greet him as they saw him leave the medicine den.

"Are you cleared at last?" Fernshade asked.

"Yup!" Bramblestripe exclaimed with a satisfied wave of his tail.

"That's wonderful, Bramblestripe!" Hawkstar agreed. "Thistletail will put you back on patrol tomorrow."

Bramblestripe kneaded the ground. "Actually, I wouldn't mind getting some hunting in today."

"Care for some company?" Fernshade asked.

"That would be great!" Bramblestripe purred.

"I'll join you both. With leafbare drawing ever closer, keeping the Clan fed is our biggest priority," Hawkstar meowed.

As they headed out of camp, Bramblestripe felt a wave ofeagerness sweep through him. He couldn't wait to get hunting!
