Shi Feng walked out of the spatial gate and ended up in his office in Silver Wing City. He then contacted Gentle Snow to meet with him.
While he was waiting, Shi Feng took out an epic treasure chest. This was the one the system rewarded him for gaining favorability with Bruce. He had forgotten about it (actually the author forgot about it) but now that he had some time he couldn't wait to see what was inside.
Epic treasure chest have a very small chance of having a fragmented legendary item in them and with the effects of Icarus Heart, those chances can increase.
Shi Feng sacrificed 30 mana stones to the chest and activated divine providence. After the loading bar finished and the chest slowly opened, a brilliant golden glow shined in his office. The mana in the room increased by a noticeable degree.
When the light finally disappeared, Shi Feng looked at the open chest with anticipation. When he saw the items inside, his eyes widened in shock. Can an epic chest really give such items.
The chest housed four items. The most dazzling of which were a pair of red, gem encrusted armored gauntlets. The very existence of this item slightly raised the ambient mana

The Seven Luminaries Battle Armor was a Legendary item created by the Blacksmith God, Soros. During the Great Ancient War, it had been greatly damaged by the Lord of the Abyss. However, as the battle armor's core remained intact, its repair only requires ten God Crystals. Current number of absorbed God Crystals (0/10).
Shi Feng couldn't believe what he saw. So the Seven Luminaries Battle Armor is actually a hidden armor set! Snow really lucked out!
Shi Feng had always assumed that the Seven Luminaries Battle Armor was a single armor chest plate, not a set, that is why he never bothered to confirm if there were other parts. After all creating a legendary armor set is extremely difficult even for a blacksmith god. Only a Forger Sage can reliably create a legendary armor set.
Even the Disintegration armor that his Broken Steel set absorbed needed divine rank materials just to make it legendary rank.
As he was thinking he heard a notification from the system.
System: Broken Steel Armor has found a compatible equipment for gauntlets. Would you like to absorb?

Obviously Shi Feng clicked no. He intends to give this to Gentle Snow.
But he did learn something interesting. Apparently the Broken Steel Armor has the ability to ignore class restrictions. Meaning if he found legendary boots meant for assassins the Broken Steel set can still absorb it.
The chest also had a God Crystal. This increased the total number of god crystals in Zero Wing by seven. Unfortunately he will have to search for more if he wanted to upgrade the gauntlets and bring the number of legendary items Snow has to 3.
Not even he has three legendary items. If not for Crown Sword, his extraordinary bloodline, and the Golden Stigmata granting him extra attribute points every five levels Gentle Snow might actually surpass him in the strength attribute.
The third item was an ancient document. With this ancient document as long as he knows the name of the item he is looking for, he can access the Main God's System database and find out how to obtain that item. Just like he did with Solomon's Sword.
With this he now has three ancient documents. He can use it to find the remaining seven treasures, the last chapter of darkness, or maybe a divine art skill.
The last item in the chest was a dark green emerald that emitted a little fog. The emerald it's called drive emeralds and is extremely rare. The reason for their rarity is because they are an amazing item to help make enhanced epic equipment.
Only tier 5 archaic level creatures or stronger have a chance of dropping this but it doesn't even have a 0.5% chance drop rate. Players' luck attributes don't affect the drop rate either.
But what made Shi Feng ecstatic was that the crystal was resonating with a green fan in his bag space. This green fan is one of the seven treasures that he obtained a long time ago. The fan was too damaged to anything and he thought it needed god crystals to repair it.
As he was about to let the fan absorb the emerald, he heard a familiar sound
Kyuu!
With that sound a dash of light zoomed past him and robbed the emerald from the chest.
Shi Feng looked at the little thief who was hugging the emerald tightly on his desk.
"Ember what are you doing?"
"Kyuu!"
Even though they weren't speaking the same language Shi Feng knew exactly what she was saying.
"You want that to eat?"
"Kyuu! Kyuu!"
Shi Feng shook his head no and said, "You can't eat that, I'll need it for something important"
"Why do you need to eat that anyway? I can give you plenty of elemental source crystals if you're hungry."
"Kyuu, kyuu!" Ember quickly wrapped her golden mist like wings around herself, worried that Shi Feng would take away the emerald.
"You need that to help you evolve?" Shi Feng said in confusion. After absorbing the core of that Godly Magic Spell Ember went from tier 0 to tier 2. That was the core of a spell that represented the power of tier 7 if it existed!
He doubts a measly drive emerald will help the little ArcFairy reach tier 3.
Tier 3 is a major turning point for all creatures in the game. Even dragons or children of gods have to wait a long time to grow to tier 3. Ember is a being with a primordial and noble bloodline, she is also loved by mana and can do unbelievable things. And here she is telling him that a drive emerald will help her.
How can he believe that!
Shi Feng gave Ember a light flick on her forehead, "I doubt the energy from that will be of any help to you. Stop playing around and give it here."
After the flick Ember felt as if she'd been wronged. All she wanted was to grow stronger to be more helpful to her dad, but now she is being scolded for it.
Tears of liquid mana started to form in her eyes as she stared up at Shi Feng with a look of sadness and despair.
The two were connected spiritually so Shi Feng knew she wasn't that sad.
Seeing that Shi Feng was unfazed, Ember decided to give back the item. As his hands reached for the emerald Shi Feng looked at Embers ruby red eyes filled with tears of grief and sadness. His reaching hand trembled a little and he hesitated.
Shi Feng can resist Seliora's alluring temperament and looks, not even be tempted by Sharlyn's Heavenly beauty, and can look at Medusa; one of God's Domain ten Great Beauties in the eyes and still remain calm. But now he can't even bring himself to sadden Ember.
Ember tilted her head to the side and her big round eyes blinked twice. Shi Feng felt as if a needle stabbed his heart. How can he not give his daughter the things she wanted.

After a moment of their little staring contest Shi Feng put his head down, tousled his hair and said, "fine you can have it."
Ember's face immediately brightened up. She flew up to Shi Feng's face and gave him a big hug and kiss on the cheek. She then sat upon his head and started eating the emerald.
Shi Feng let out a big long sigh. It was times like this he wished Zero Wing had more male magical players. Ember is capable of learning any spell from the mage and healer class given enough time. Due to this she spends a lot of time with Violet, Zhoa, Summer and the other mage girls in the guild.
They must have taught her how to manipulate men. She needs to spend more time with Uncle Blackie.
System: Ember has obtained the ability Soul Trace. Would you like her to Trace your soul.
"Is this why you wanted the emerald?" Shi Feng asked her in shock and wonder. Ember nodded her head yes.
He couldn't believe it. Soul Trace didn't strengthen a player's soul or mind but protected it. If players want to reach tier 5 a powerful soul is extremely important, that's why it's immensely difficult for Flowing Water Realm experts and below to reach tier 5 and only Domain Realm Experts are guaranteed to reach it.
Unfortunately players can encounter a lot of dangers that can endanger their souls if not careful, especially in the neutral maps that serve as players tier 4 quest areas that player go to train in. That mind space maze that the main force got stuck in is also another example of potential dangers to the soul.
Soul Trace will protect a player's soul from those dangers. Normally only craftsman magicians and higher are capable of the skill and countless old monsters had given up their treasures for the opportunity, since they can be harmed even more so than the younger experts.
Now that Ember has the ability he could explore God's Domain without a care. From now on he would give her whatever she wanted.
While Shi Feng was in a joyous mood, the door to his office opened and in came Gentle Snow. After not seeing her for a little while, Gentle Snow has grown much stronger.
Shi Feng can tell that she has broken past 100% of her mana body and she is releasing a very unique type of mana.
This type of mana is more akin to what a player would sense from angels.
Every step Snow took brought life and balance to her area. It felt like her immediate space was at peace as if a saintess graced their devout believers. The dissonance of her cold looking face and vibrant aura made Gentle Snow resemble a Snow Goddess walking on the mundane world.
While Shi Feng was happy about Snow's improvements, she was only 14 yards from him when Shi Feng became stunned. He just now noticed that Fire Dance had been next to Snow this whole time.
Even though it was only 14 yards, that's enough distance for a tier 4 assassin to end an apex expert. Granted Shi Feng wasn't on guard but the fact that Fire managed to get so close to him without him noticing is unbelievable.
He had reached the True Domain Realm and his physique was just as high as a tier 5 player. With his guard up Fire Dance can probably move up to 20 yards around him without him noticing. For any lesser experts she can probably enter 10 yards around them.
Seeing the shocked look on his face Fire Dance let out a bitter smile, "your amazing as always Guild Leader. I thought I could surprise you."
"But you did. I'm happy to see that you've improved so much," Shi Feng said with happiness. The more powerful Fire and the rest become, the better for Zero Wing.
"This is all thanks to the Shadow Saint legacy. The legacy is very compatible with my Swift Shade," she informed him.
Shi Feng's eyes widened in amazement. It's not impossible for an item that's not a legacy item to be compatible with a class legacy but it is a very rare occurrence.
For instance, the Abyssal Blade, Twilight Blade, and the now gone Killing Ray isn't really that compatible with the Blade Saint Class only being compatible with Shi Feng himself as a person. But Crown Sword is very compatible with him and the Blade Saint class. That's why his current combat power ranks at intermediate tier 5 or else it would be at basic tier 5.
Who would've guessed that a random legendary weapon he picked up would find itself the perfect legacy.
If he could find a suitable legacy for guys like Flying Shadow, Yan Tianxing, Yi Loufei, Fierce Snake and others Zero Wing will grow even more powerful.
"Snow so what's going on?" Shi Feng asked.
"Recently a new type of monster is roaming the Ore Empire Guild Leader. They're similar to those Faux Saint monsters and they act like assassins. We've actually suffered some minor losses because of them and a few of our members had died at their hands. Those who died lose four levels and enter a weekend state when they revive," Gentle Snow summarized the general situation.
"Are these Beast Emperors creations?"
"We believe so. He's mainly targeted other superpowers in the map to display his new strength. The superpowers want to have a meeting with you. I think they are trying to convince you to give up some of our territory in the map and give up Silver Wing City."
Shi Feng realized the overall situation now. Players of God's Domain now realize how helpful the Primordial Divine Ruins are for their tier promotion exams. With Silver Wing City being right next to the Ruins player traffic is at an all time high.
Beast Emperor is trying to give the superpowers a little push to take away one of his guild's advantages.
Shi Feng smiled, "if they want to meet with me how can I be so rude and not grace them with my presence. Let's go say hi!"
