Shi Feng became an advanced master forger when he was creating the moon strider sets. He upgraded his epic spatial bag to fragmented legendary rank with the holy grail, before they entered the Undead World, and Divine Equinox is now a gold combat technique and Shi Feng has the gold legatee title. The massive golden sword bisected the Lich in half and took the last of its hp. Shi Feng returned to his human form and collapsed on the floor.
System: Congratulations. You have captured the Great Pyramid Anubis.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief that they made it on time. With the pyramid buffing them, the army outside should be strong enough to defeat the undead.
"Guild Leader are you ok?" Fire Dance asked Shi Feng who looked pale.
"I'm alright. I just need to enter rest mode. You guys finish up here and don't forget to destroy the portal connecting this world to the main continent."
Performing Holy Annihilation zapped him of all his concentration and more. If he weren't in his dragon form he wouldn't even be able to do the technique. Luckily he pulled it off. As for ArchAngel Vatra's quest he hadn't completed it. The quest required him to stop the undead from invading the main continent. Going to the Undead World and destroying the portals was probably going to be part 2 of the quest, so he wasn't expecting a reward yet.
Shi Feng entered rest mode but right after he did , the sound of the system rang in every player's ear.
System: A player has triggered the legendary main storyline quest Return of the Divine. God's Domain will undergo a real world 48 hour system update. Please log out within twenty minutes.
When the members of Zero Wing heard this they were stunned. It was probably them that triggered this update. Aqua and Snow held an internal auction for the loot and had everyone enter the pyramid for protection while the game updated.
Shi Feng's gaming pod kept on beeping. This was a sign that he had used up all the nutrient solutions in his pod. As he exited his gaming pod Shi Feng let out a yawn and stretched. Right now he felt relaxed and flexible.
"Have I made progress in the domain realm," Shi Feng got excited. Once an expert reaches the domain realm, trying to advance in it's stages is even more difficult than trying to enter the void realm, even for Shi Feng. If not for his fight with the Bronze Dragon King and his training in the tower of four gods, he would not have been as strong as old monsters like Sword Demon and others who had been in the domain realm for years.
"I've been asleep for 33 hours!"
After checking the time Shi Feng couldn't believe he had been asleep for so long. This is even longer than when he exceeded his mental limit the first time. Shi Feng got caught up with the situation and nearly slapped himself. The Return of the Divine update was supposed to happen when tier 5 players started to appear in the game. This update will start bringing back godly beings, but very slowly. When the gods start to return the whole NPC community will change. Those NPCs stuck at tier 5 will find methods to become tier 6, there will be a constant struggle for the throne of many empires and kingdoms, and monsters will become stronger as well. The biggest benefit to this update though is that the slow return of the gods will weaken the dark forces in the game.
The dark players have been gaining more and more influence in the game. It seemed that the future of God's Domain belonged to the dark players and only first rate and superpowers can resist this tide. But Shi Feng knew that was only temporary and didn't really worry about it too much.
After eating and working out Shi Feng went to do his business.
"Guild Leader, Yuan Tiexin came to have a meeting with you, but he left since you were in rest mode," Liang Jing informed him.
"Is that so. Let them know that when the game finishes updating, we can have a meeting then."
"Guild Leader, we managed to find the Ancient Contract you talked about. It was in the vault of the pyramid," Gentle Snow told him.
"Really! That's great, now I can complete that quest. Guys make preparations to reinforce our territory in StarMoon Kingdom. In three days create more combat puppets, Hell tanks, and airships."
Shi Feng couldn't believe they were fortunate enough to get the Ancient Contract. After they make preparations, he could turn StarMoon Kingdom to StarMoon Empire.
When the system finished updating everyone logged back in. Zero Wing members then wiped out the remaining undead and destroyed the portal they used to enter the main continent.
Shi Feng was right. Valtra had sent him a letter telling him that closing the portals used by the undead was the next part of the quest. Once he kills the undead hiding in the main continent, is when he will be rewarded. Luckily Shi Feng recorded the location of where each portal sent the undead. He just has to send people to investigate the location of the rest of the undead.
After finishing up in the Undead World, everyone returned to the main continent. Zero Wing got an amazing haul. The last pyramid had over 1000 units of seven luminaries crystals. After giving the 6000 units to Miao Jun, Shi Feng has 3000 units left, just enough for his plans. Not to mention everything else that they've got, Zero Wing can now do a massive expansion.
Sitting in his office in Stone Forest City as Shi Feng was going through some things, suddenly he felt something vibrate in his fragmented legendary spatial bag.
"What is that?"
He then removed the item that was doing it. It was the egg he had gotten from that Fallen. The shaking is a sign that it's ready to hatch. Shi Feng became giddy. He had been feeding this egg with elemental source crystals, mana stones, and even seven luminaries crystals. The egg was like a bottomless pit sucking Shi Feng's wallet dry, not even Sharlyn took so much from him.
"Please let it be a dragon, please let it be a dragon!"
Shi Feng prayed. He hoped that it was at least a peak level creature in the game, after all whatever is in this egg is supposed to help him with the demon gods invasion.
As Shi Feng prayed the egg shell turned into a mist made of pure mana, then crystallized. The mana crystals started to show cracks and slowly break off. As the egg broke an extremely pure amount of mana mad from the seven elements filled the room.
"What pure mana. It can almost rival eternal energy," Shi Feng was even more excited and hopeful. He had heard about dragon eggs releasing such pure and powerful mana when they hatch. As the egg fully hatched and the mana mist settled, the creature inside became visible.
"What the fu*k is this thing!" Shi Feng yelled.
