We finally arrive at some old warehouse up in some forest. It looks creepy especially since it's getting dark.
A tall tanned muscular chocolate brown hair blue eyed guy is leaning on his car with the trunk opened beaming at us.
Eli and I haven't spoken a word to each other the entire car ride. I know he's not so fond of having me here, but oh well.
"Stay in the car", Eli firmly grunts getting out of the car.
I roll my eyes not listening to what he said and I also get out of the car shutting the door.
"Your really getting on my nerves babe", Eli groans.
"You too!", I spat.
"Wassup man!", This unknown guy greets Eli pulling him in for a hug.
"Xavier my bad for meeting like this after what happened years ago", Eli shakes his head.
"It's cool as longest we're not caught this time", the man I came to know as Xavier chuckles.
I was quiet the entire time they were talking just observing how normal they're acting about this whole situation while I'm over here shitting bricks.
"Is she coming?", Xavier glances at me with a raised brow.
"Fuck no, she can stay in the car", Eli mutters.
"I'm fucking going!", I retort.
"It's risky for her to stay behind since we have no idea how many men we're facing it's safer if she sticks with us", Xavier suggests.
Eli let's out a loud breathe before nodding his head.
"Do you know how to use a gun?", Xavier asks peering at me.
"No", I mumble.
Xavier, grabs an empty Coca Cola can from his trunk and places the can on some thick wood a few inches away from us.
He then hands me a gun and says, "shoot that can".
I glance down at the gun feeling every little hair on my body lift up from fear. It's a terrifying feeling holding a weapon that is used to end lives. Nothing good comes from a gun.
I've only been in fights in my life never ending a life that just isn't me. But I have no choice right now this is the only way to get my baby back.
Eli steps forward helping me position myself and showed me how to hold a gun aiming it towards the can.
I squint my eyes focusing on the can. My finger is on the trigger and my mind drifts to Avalyn's cry when I ran to her room seeing those two assholes have her in their arms taking her away from me.
I failed her by getting pushed down the stairs.
I fucking failed her
Nothing but anger is fuming inside of me mentally imagining me kicking ass for how much pain they have caused me and still are having my daughter away from me.
And that's when I pull the trigger. The bullet immediately strikes the can flipping it over.
"Damn!", Eli's emerald green eyes widen glancing at the can and at me.
"She's a natural", Xavier says applauding.
"Let's go get our daughter back!", I firmly say ready to shoot every single person that gets in my way of getting my baby girl.
Eli is still baffled gazing at me with admiration and fondness. I can tell he's impressed.
"Alright guys grab everything you need before we head in there", Xavier says snapping Eli out of his frozen state.
I have no idea what's for what. I just know guns is to shoot, knives are to cut, bombs are to explode, and brass knuckles are to knockout. That's what I grab for myself the rest of the weapons in the trunk are so strange to me.
"Please stay behind me at all times babe", Eli softly says peering at me.
"Now you want to be nice", I huff.
"Babe, I'm sorry for being a grinch it's just if something happens to you I will never forgive myself for it and you heard what the doctor told you earlier today Gia.. plus this isn't your scene"
I know Eli is worried having me here. Shit, I'm worried being here too, but I'm Avalyn's mother and as a mother I will fight for her.
"I know babe I love you don't worry us four will come out alive", I say silently trying to convince myself that.
Xavier and Eli are experts in this unlike me. If anything it might be just three getting out alive. However, I don't care about me as longest Avalyn comes home safe and sound with Eli that's all I care about.
"I love you too", Eli responds pecking my lips that quickly turned into a full on make out session.
"Alright love birds.. lets get ready to kill and get that baby back", Xavier splutters making Eli and I pull away from the steamy kiss.
Eli grabs a lot of weapons from the trunk then closes it shut. I take a moment to glance at him and boy does this man look hotter than ever.
The three of us start walking towards the old warehouse. My heart is thumping like crazy right now and my palms are so sweaty.
I have no idea what I'm going to walk into and what to expect whatsoever. All I know is I'm not backing down. Shit, Gia Marin has never backed down from anything and I'm certainly not backing down now when my daughter is in danger.
"Everyone ready to have fun?", Xavier says with enthusiasm.
"Are you ready babe?", Eli peers at me.
I take a moment to inhale the fresh air into my lungs then exhale the fear out of me. Avalyn's face appears into my mind and that alone ignited something in me.
Suddenly, I feel brave and this adrenaline takes over me ready to take on whatever comes at me.
We are now in front of the door. Xavier positioning himself ready to kick open the door for us to enter.
"Babe?"
"I'm ready"
