The time flower glitched yet again. This time the image blurred entirely. It faded and whirled. Fast forwarding at a speed that even the sharingon couldn't slow down. Finally it stopped on a scene. Naruto and Sasuke were training in the woods alone and at night. The full moon was above their heads lighting the grounds. Sasuke's sharingon was on and Naruto had kyuubi eyes, the nine tails cloak covering his body. The both broke apart and stood across from each other panting hard. They were smiling.
"What do you to think your doing!?" Jiraiya exclaimed.
"Sparring...." Naruto mumbled. He looked sideways at Sasuke and frowned. The Uchiha was tense and he could easily tell why. This was it. This was how he had said he got his mangekyou sharingan.
"With the nine tails chakra are you insane!!" Jiraiya roared at them. How irresponsible could these brats be!? That chakra was dangerous! The kyuubi could break out of it's seal!!
"In a few seconds your going to extremely happy Naruto is using that chakra so shut up" Sasuke snapped. The sannin didn't understand just how lucky Naruto was to be alive right now. If he hadn't been using the ninetails chakra at the valley of the end he would have died. He would have died by his hand and there would have been no way to take it back. Thank you kura.
Naruto sighed. "Ke i'm fine!" Naruto insisted. Naruto knew why sasuke could never let it go. It was his biggest regret after all. But still naruto wished he would. Sasuke really had nothing left to prove to him. Naruto knew he was loyal probably more loyal than Sakura or shikamaru if you wanted a comparison.
"My hand slid through you chest! To That is not fine! We should never have-" Sasuke argued back.
"Ke you know we were going to do that either way!" Naruto argued back.
"We shouldn't have let it get that bad. You know what happens when we spar like that!"
"So? It's good to test our limits!"
"Not with us like that! You know what happens!"
"Boys! Enough!" Sakura exclaimed.
Sasuke gritted his teeth while Naruto turned his head away from him. A silent agreement echoing throughout the room. This wasn't over.
"What are you two talking about?" Obito asked. His brain hurt he could barely keep up with that arguement.
"When Naruto and Sasuke spar alone and unsupervised things tend to go a bit......overboard" Sakura explained.
"How so?" Shisui asked.
"One of them ends up practically dead on the ground...with the other one feeling extremely guilty and frantic banging on my window to get me to heal them" Sakura sighed looking at her two teammates.
"You know Sasuke i've been wondering something....if we're really like the incarnations of Madara and Hashirama like that creepy old dude said then are we going to betray each other one day and off the other?" Naruto asked through his pants.
"What creepy old dude?" Itachi asked. That was new. Sasuke was hiding something else come on! This was getting most annoying and most frustrsting. Very quickly.
"Ummm......." Sasuke said trying to think of an excuse for THAT. He couldn't say sage of sixth paths his brother would freak! There was only one option they could substitute him for but he wasn't any better. Well not by very much anyways.
"Madara Uchiha...." Sasuke mumbled.
"Come again?" Itachi asked. He could not have possibly heard that right. There was just no way.
"Madara Uchiha....the real Madara Uchiha....he uh sort of may have might've survived the valley of the end battle and uh was living in a cave.... With a bunch of zetsu's." Sasuke said with a wince. Crap. Not good so not good.
"Is he there now?" Itachi asked.
"No he uh died of old age....when did you three even see him!? I was with him for like i don't know how long! How did you guys get in and i didn't even notice!!!" Obito exclaimed.
"He sai you were on a mission or something and it was good to see an uchiha that wasn't you. He told ud a story. Then gave me my stray shuriken and we went back to training."
"Wait so your shuriken did miss!?" Kakashi asked.
"That's what i told you didn't i" sasuke responded with an eye roll.
"Does anyone have any sake? I need a drink. A strong one" fugaku muttered.
"Aren't you on the clock?" Shikaku asked.
"I took the day off for this memory watching thing" fugaku responded.
"Actually i could use on of those as well i think it's still here unless you moved it sensei" Tsunade said walking to a wall and opening a secret compartment filled with the sannin's three legendary substances.
"Oh nice! Hey give me some of my stuff would you tsunade!" Jiraiya said. Once all the adults who weren't on duty had more sake all attention was put back on the time flower. The only thin they missed was danzo and orochimaru lurkin in the shadows watching the two train.
"Well i guess i'll just have to fix where Madara went wrong and not kill you. I don't really think he meant to kill his best friend. I think it was just a spar. A spar gone wrong" Sasuke said.
"Well that's an interesting way to look at it" shisui commented.
"What? Are you calling the history books liars?" Naruto asked.
"Yes, to a certain extent. I don't think they have their facts straight. Madara and hashirama were the two strongest shinobi out their. They were worlds apart from everyone else. What if tobirama never knew the two's real full strentgh. I mean they would probably never go all out in front of everybody..... What if they were just sparring. Then it got a bit out of hand when madara brought the nine tails. The mangekyou is said to drive you slowly insane. Or maybe madara didn't want hashirama to pull his punches so he pretended to go after the village so he would that last little bit of self control so he was fighting him for real. It was a spar but to everyone else it looked like an all out war of betrayal." Sasuke explained.
"It's a nice theory Ke but i think it's kinda far fetched." Naruto said.
"Oh really? Well then naruto let's test that theory shall we? My chidori vs your raesengan. We should see which is stronger." Sasuke smirked.
"Your on" naruto grinned making a shadow clone.
Both boys activated their jutsu naruto's clone poofing away as the raesengan formed. Naruto and Sasuke ran at each other. Then something happened. Something Naruto wasn't expecting. As soon as Sasuke felt Naruto's chakra nearing his Uchiha instincts took over and he leaned away just enough so the raesengan missed him. But that put his hand right in the path of Naruto's heart. It was deadly silent as Sasuke's hand slid through Naruto's chest. The blonde coughing up blood over Sasuke's shoulder.
"Heh i admit it. I wasn't expecting that" Naruto said.
Sasuke was filled with horror. What had he just done? He pulled his hand out of Naruto's chest as his eyes slid closed. Sasuke checked for a pulse. Nothing. He had done it. he had just killed his best friend. Sasuke's eyes swirled mangekyou appearing. Sasuke gritted his teeth. No. No way. Naruto wasn't dead! He he couldn't be! It was an accident! This wasn't supposed to happen!
You never told me my heart stopped!" Naruto screamed.
"Would it have made any difference if i had?!" Sasuke shot back.
"No your right. It wouldn't have" naruto sighed. He was still fine after all.
"Dammit To come on" Sasuke muttered moving his hand over his friends chest. "Kura if your still able to hear me..... I could use some help." Sasuke said. He used his lightning chakra and sent a pulse of electricity at his friends heart. Naruto's body jumped but still nothing. It started to rain and thunder clouds loomed up above. Sasuke's head shot up. His chakra alone wasn't strong enough but maybe. Just maybe. Sasuke shot his hand up calling the lightning rumbling in the clouds to him. He gasped as it's energy hit him. It hurt but not as much as the hurt of knowing Naruto was dead by his hands. He used his other hand to channel the chakra to Naruto's body. At that the kyuubi's chakra surged around Naruto's body healing him. Gaining strentgh. Naruto's eyes blinked open slowly. "Sasuke? What happened? Why are you soaked? What's up with your eyes!?" He asked as Sasuke came into focus.
"See it all worked out." Naruto grinned.
"I think i'm more happy about you having a dominant lightning affinity kid. You jump started the ninetails power." Jiriaya slurred.
"I'm not even gonna ask" Sasuke muttered. Jiriaya made no sense when drunk.
The time flower gitched again fast forwarding all the way to when Itachi carried Sasuke home on his shoulders.
"Hey you never told me you saw a snake omen!" Naruto complained.
"I hate snake omens just as much as you. There was no sense in depriving you of sleep as well idiot" Sasuke said.
The adults all tensed and leaned forward in interest. Finally some evidence.
