gabbys POV
I woke up with my legs entangled in Hayes.
he was laying on his phone, "good morning" I said
"good morning birthday girl" he said and kissed my head.
"oh crap, I forgot that today's already june 20, wow" I said surprised.
I picked my phone up off of the night stand and saw I had a text from Dylan.
"Gabriella, I'm sorry for acting how I did, I already miss you as I hope your having fun, I'll see ya soon. happy birthday to my best friend, I never thought my little sister would be my best friend but you are, come home soon. I hope you have an amazing 15th birthday and celebrate. Heard you'll be home tomorrow night, we'll celebrate at home, don't worry. I saw zac yesterday and he has no way to contact you so he wanted to me to say happy birthday from him. he loves you and is so proud of everything you're doing and the young lady you've become. the old Zacs back if you couldn't tell. well anyway, have an amazing day kiddo, mommys sending her kisses from heaven, I love you. xoxo" it said
I texted him back, "I love you Dylie pickle, I'll be home tomorrow night. thank you❤️"
I had a text from dave, "happy birthday kiddo. happy I get to be apart of such an amazing little girls life. you're only 15 and already doing amazing things, can't wait to see the adult you turn into. I'm so proud of you, happy 15th, have fun, be safe. I'll see you tomorrow, don't get too home sick on me. I love you and hope you're days amazing." it said
"thank you dave, thanks for taking care of me, I love you too" I said
I had a few texts from people at my old school but there's only one I still talk to everyday and miss like crazy, kayla, she's always been my best friend.
"we've gotta get ready soon" Hayes said
"I need a shower" I said and got up.
I got clothes out of my suitcase then went into the bathroom and got in the shower.
once I got out I dried and straightened my hair then got changed into a black romper and did my makeup.
I stepped out of the bathroom and Hayes went in and shut the door then I heard the shower running.
I went on my phone while waiting for Hayes and saw that he posted a picture of me laying down next to zan sleeping and only his torso was in it, "sleeping beauty and then gabby" I just laughed.
he played another picture and it was a picture of me and him laughing, it was at my cheer leading competition, I never saw it before.
I said, "happy birthday to the most amazing person I know. thank you for always putting a smile on my face. you're the most down to earth, funny, kind, and caring girl I know. I'm so happy you joined magcon and I get to tour with you. I love you so much, zan does too. xoxo Hayes"
I just sat on my phone while laying next to zan till he came out of the shower.
he came out while drying his hair with a towel, "ready?" he asked
"I think the question is, are you ready?" I asked
"yeah" he said and brushed his hair real fast.
I put on a pair of white high top top converse and Hayes put on vans and we left.
we went downstairs and met the guys for break fast and they all wished me a happy birthday.
we ate pancakes then had to get to the show.
we were all back stage and eventually went on and started.
half way through the show I saw Hayes go backstage and come back with a cake and candles lit and everyone started singing happy birthday while he stood Infront of me with a cake that said "happy birthday to the baby of the family"
I blew out the candles and they brought the cake backstage.
"okay gabs singing today!" Cameron said in the mic.
"wow wow" I said
"I'll sing with you" Jack g said
"what are we singing" I asked
"let's sing the climb by my girl Miley Cyrus" jack said
"I love that song" I said and we started singing and about half way through the song I realized jack had stopped singing but I continued.
I finished and the crowd cheered like crazy.
we eventually finished the show and did meet and greets.
"okay now time to take the baby out for her birthday" Cameron said
"I'm only a few days younger than Hayes so if I get called the baby of the family then he should too" I said
"fine" Cameron said
we all got in a limo and drove to some fancy restaurant.
we went inside and sat down and I saw my aunt and uncle who I hadn't talked to in years because they didn't like my dad.
they started pointing at me and whispering so I hid myself behind Hayes.
we ordered our food and I got a chicken Caesar salad.
we were all talking but I was zoned out paying attention to my aunt and uncle that were walking towards me.
they stood Infront of me, "Maura?" my aunt Jane said
"oh aunt Jane, uncle mark, hi" I said
"how have you been?" they asked
"good" I said
"how's the family?" he asked
"good" I said
"tell you're mom to call us and me, her, and aunt Jane can hang out some time" he said
"I wish" I said
"what?" she asked
"I will, I'll tell her" I said
"Alright well we will leave and let you enjoy" they said
"okay bye" I said
"bye sweetheart, don't forgot to tell that crazy mom of yours" aunt Jane said
"I won't" I said
they left and all the guys looked at me, "I'll be right back" I said and went into the bathroom.
I could barley breathe, I was so overwhelmed, they don't even know about my mom.
I started crying then realized where I was.
I saw Lox come in and shut the door.
"hey I know we haven't gotten to know each other yet but I hope we can. I'm so sorry about all that, I can't imagine how hard it must be" she said
"thank you" I said
she came over and hugged me and let me cry on her for a minute.
I let go of her and wiped my face and fixed my makeup, under my eyes was still red but there was nothing I could do about it.
we went back and sat down and Hayes looked at me with sympathy, "I'm fine" I said
our food came and we ate and we decided we were all too stuffed for dessert.
"alright let's go to the hotel and if you want get chafed and relaxed for a half hour then were gonna walk around the city for a little while" Nash said
we all went to our hotels room.
I walked in and Hayes shut the door behind himself.
"how don't they know?" Hayes asked
"I don't wanna talk about it" I said
"okay but know if you ever wanna talk about anything, I'm your guy" Hayes said
"okay thank you" I said
"what time do we go home tomorrow?" I asked
"we leave here at 5 so we'll get there around 9" he said
"okay thanks" I said
Hayes looked at his phone then back at me, "it's already 10 so we're just gonna walk around the city tomorrow since we don't have a show" he said
"okay" I said and took clothes into the bathroom.
I changed into shorts and a tshirt and put my hair in a bun and took all my makeup off.
I laid down in my bed and put my back to Hayes.
"are you sure you don't wanna talk?" he asked
"talk about what Hayes? the fact that my aunt and uncle who hadn't been around for years because they didn't like my father, think my mom is still alive. little do they know that the father they didn't like murdered my mom, how am I supposed to tell my moms sister that" I said and started crying.
Hayes came and hugged me, "no Hayes I don't wanna talk, I wanna be left alone. I'll be back. I need fresh air" I said and got up and left the hotel room.
I walked down the steps till I was on the bottom level then I went outside and sat on a bench and just looked around.
I wanna go home.
I called dave.
d-dave g-gabby
d-hey birthday girl
g-can you pick me up from the airport tomorrow night, I'm ready to come now but I can't
d-stop crying kiddo, I'll be there. why are you crying
G-I saw uncle mark and aunt Jane and they kept telling me to have my mom call them but I couldn't pull myself together to tell them she's dead.
d-awh gab, breath, relax. I'll have zac call them, you're okay I promise
G-I just wanna come home
d-you'll be home tomorrow night, you'll be in your bed okay?
G-yeah, thank you
d-you're welcome, get some sleep
G-okay I will, bye I love you
d-I love you too
I hung up and just looked at my home screen, it was a picture of me, zac, Dylan, and my mom sticking our tongues out.
I started crying and I just sat there with my feet to my chest.
I eventually stood up and wiped my tears and I saw Hayes standing inside at the door.
I looked at him and opened the door, "I know you wanted to be left alone but it's dark outside so I had to make sure you were okay" he said
"I'm fine" I said
"no you're not" he said
"I know" I said
I just hugged him and he hugged me back.
"HEY BABY COUPLE LETS GO! WERE GOING NIGHT SWIMMING" Taylor yelled while hitting Hayes back.
"we'll pass" Hayes said
"oh come on don't be party poopers" Taylor said
"Hayes go" I said
"no" he said
all the guys I think kinds got the hint and left except for Cameron.
"Hayes can I talk to her" he asked
Hayes went upstairs and Cameron stood next to me and we went outside and sat down.
"you know my mom died when I was 15, she was in a car accident. I miss her everyday and some days it's worse than others. one time a fan came up to me and asked "how come you never post pictures with your mom like all the other guys do, do you not love her now that your famous?" she asked. I just said "I love her too much, be careful what you ask people" and she left and I went backstage and cried the rest of the show. I know how hard it can be and I know the feeling of wanting to be left alone or just wanting to go home. I want you to know that me and the guys are always here for you, if you ever need arms to cry in, you have all of us, we aren't judging you, we love you. get some sleep, don't stay awake all night thinking about it, she's always with you Gabriella" he said
"cameron, I didn't know that, I'm so sorry" I said
"I don't talk about it that's why" he said and started crying.
I just hugged him and he went over to Nash and I went upstairs.
I went in my room and saw Hayes laying on his bed with zan.
"you feeling any better?" he asked
I layed next to me, "I'm sorry for being mean, I was overwhelmed and you were just trying to help" i said
"don't worry about it" he said and wreaked his arms around me and kissed my head.
we just laid there until we both fell asleep.
