chapter 25

gabbys POV

I woke up to matt jumping on mine and kaylas bed, "WAKE UP WERE LEAVING" he yelled

"I'm up" I said and rolled out of bed and right onto the floor.

I got up and changed into sweat pants and a tshirt and put my hair in a bun.

I put everything in my suitcase and zippered it then washed my face and we left.

we drove to the airport and put our bags through security and then bored the plane.

the flight wasn't as long as the one there.

we got to the airport and I saw zac pacing back and fourth.

he came up to me and Hayes and hugged me, "we have to talk" he said

"what's going on" I asked

"nothing, everything's fine I just wanna talk to you" he said

"zac" kayla said and hugged him and he hugged her back.

"hey kiddo" he said

"alright bye guys, thanks for everything I'll see yous later" I said

"see ya bud" Nash said

"text me" Hayes said

we got our suitcases and got in Zacs car.

"I just wanna let you know that i talked to uncle mark and aunt Jane, they were okay with you not telling them. but they aren't okay with me having custody of you and Dylan" zac said

"zac what are you trying to tell me?" I asked

"they're filing for custody of you, these up coming weeks are gonna be hard" Zac said

"and what about kayla and Dylan?" I asked

"there filing for kayla to he put in a foster home and they trust Dylan with me because he's older and a boy" zac said

"this is crazy zac, they can't have me" I said

"it's gonna be tough bug but it's all gonna be ok" he said

"are you home for good, you still had a few more weeks in rehab?" I asked

"I'm better now, I'm home for good" he said

"do you have a dress for tomorrow?" he asked

"I have dresses, what's tomorrow?" I asked

"court gab, it's tomorrow" zac said

"so you're telling me that tonight could be my last night at home with my family?" I asked

"yeah but it's not gonna be be issue you're gonna be home, I'll get you" zac said

"and if not? I love to New York with uncle mark and aunt Jane, the people who were never in our lives?" I asked

"no what ifs" zac said

we got home and I went inside and into Dylan's room and just hugged him.

"you're coming home don't worry" he said

"and if not I move to New York and don't get to see you until the day I turn 18" I said

"no gab stop" Dylan said

"they can't do this" I said

"I never thought they would either" Dylan said

I went downstairs and ate lunch then just relaxed all day.

everyone went up to bed and I couldn't sleep, I'm too scared for tomorrow.

I went outside and sat on the front steps.

I have to tell Hayes, today could've been the last time I'll see him for a few years.

I decided to call him.

h-hello
G-Hayes we have to talk
h-it's 12am gab
G-this is kinda serious
h-what's wrong? why are you crying?
d-my aunt and uncle that live in New York, the ones we saw at dinner, they filed for custody of me. I got to court tomorrow morning and if they win I'll be in New York tomorrow night.
h-they're not gonna win
G-they have no reason not too but zac does, he's just out of rehab, he's young, he's always working and we have a lot of stress on our family because of him being famous

G-I don't Hayes I'm scared as hell right now
h-me too
G-I just though I should let you know
h-please do me a favor, get some sleep

I hung up and just sat on the steps crying for a little while.

I heard guys down the street being loud, I ignored it.

they kept getting closer and closer.

"Hayes she's outside dude" Nash said

"I knew she would be that's why I made yous come on a walk" he said

I looked up and wiped my eyes, "I was just about to go in" I said

"you're life really reminds me of mine, you're a strong kid Gabriella" Cameron said

"no I'm really not, I'm outside crying on my doorstep because of stupid stuff" I said

"when I found out that my uncle who I never talked to and was a drug addict filed for custody of me over sierra, i ran away and didn't go back home for 4 days when I got really hungry and ran out of money. so compared to me you're rock strong" he said

Hayes sat down next to me and all the guys left.

"everything's gonna be okay tomorrow and we're gonna hang out after" he said

"I hope Hayes, I hope" I said

"go inside and go to bed, I know you have to be up early and tomorrow's gonna be long so get some sleep" Hayes said

"okay, I will, thank you. I love you" I said

"I love you too" he said and I kissed him and went inside.

I sat on the couch and literally 10 seconds later felt zac sit down next to me.

"can't sleep either?" he asked

"nope" I said

"let's watch a movie" zac said

I heard someone come down the steps and into the living room.

"I can't sleep" Dylan said

"movie time anyway" I said and he sat next to me.

I heard another person come in.

"move over zac" dave said and sat down on the other side of zac.

"I'm here too" kayla said and sat down on the other side of Dylan.

it was kay, Dylan, me, zac, dave.

"no matter what happens tomorrow were a family forever. I love you all" zac said

"I love you" I said

we all exchanged out I love yous and put on the movie RV.

I eventually fell asleep with my head leaning against Zacs warm arm, boy did I miss him.
