chapter 96

gabbys pov

i woke up to gavin climbing in bed next to me, "aunt gabby" he said

"what's up bud" i said and sat up.

"is she gone?" he asked

"who?" i asked

"the mean girl, zac called her emily but she wanted us to call her mommy" he said

"she's gone, for good" i said

"good, she was mean. bella was scared but i told her not to be because i knew either you or uncle dylan would save us" he said

"everything's gonna get better i promise. daddy's gonna be away for a little while so me and hayes and all the boys and uncle dave will take care of you guys but then daddy will be back and it'll all be ok" i said

he hugged me, "this hurts" he said and pulled his shirt up and there were belt marks across his back.

"let's go get some ice for that and i'll make you pancakes for breakfast" i said

he got on my back and we went downstairs.

i saw hayes asleep on the couch sitting up and bella was sitting on his lap watching TV.

i put gavin down and took bella off of hayes, "go up to bed" i said to him.

he got up and went upstairs.

"okay here's what we're doing. going home, eating breakfast, taking showers, getting changed then i'm gonna clean the house because it's a mess and we'll go from there" i said

"okay" gavin said

i put them in the car and drove to the house.

i went inside and it smelled and was messy.

i made pancakes real fast, "okay i'm gonna clean and then give you guys showers" i said

"so we can play?" gavin asked

"yes" i said

they ate the pancakes then went upstairs to play.

i cleaned the kitchen, living room, dining room, and family room and scrubbed everything.

i got a text message from dave, "hey if you need me to take the kids today i can"

"i'm good for now, i'm at the house cleaning and they're upstairs playing" i said

"okay i'll be over soon to help" he said

"where did you go?" hayes texted me.

"my house" i said

i put my phone down and got out the mop bucket and mopped the hallway, and stairs then went upstairs and started cleaning.

i cleaned all the bedrooms and scrubbed the bathroom down, the house looked good and was smelling better.

i went down to the basement and cleaned that all up.

i went back upstairs and looked at the clock it was 2, i should probably make lunch.

the door opened and the guys came in with pizza boxes and flowers and put them on the counter.

"thanks guys" i said

i heard someone knock on the door and kelsey came in.
