gabbys POV

I woke up and felt so much better and I looked around and saw kayla and Hayes awake and dressed in the kitchen.

"Maura I'm going to our old schools football game to meet up with people, Hayes is coming are you?" kayla asked

"give me 30 minutes" I said and got up and got in the shower.

I got out and changed into white Jean shorts and an old cheer tshirt.

I wore my hair with its natural waves and out sunglasses on my head to hood it back, that's my go to move.

I did my makeup then put on converse and we left.

Cameron dropped us off and kayla imminently ran off with her old friends.

"what's wrong?" Hayes asked

"nothing, wanna get a drink?" I asked

"yeah come on" he said and held my hand.

we got to the drink stand and I saw this kid Sammy working there, "well well, look who's back in town, how have you been gab?" he asked

"good and yourself?" I asked

"I've been good, we miss your pretty face in school" he said

"aw how sweet" I said

"are you free later tonight, we should catch up" he said

"no sorry, I have something" I said

"yo can I just have a lemonade and iced tea" Hayes said

"yeah" Sammy said and got us the drinks and we paid.

"bye gab, text me if your schedule changed, I would love to catch up" he said

"ok" I said and we walked away.

"miss seeing your pretty face" Hayes mimicked.

"oh stop being jealous" I said and grabbed his hand.

we sat down and I saw my friend nick coming towards me.

"Gabriella, oh my god, it's been way too long bud" he said and hugged me and I hugged him back.

"nick! how is everything?" I asked

"it's good" he said

"we've gotta catch up, how's cheer been in La?" he asked

"oh I dont cheer anymore, how's soccer been you?" I asked

"great" he said

he eventually left and I saw this guy that used to ask me out coming up.

"Gabriella efron, so will you say yes to me asking you out now?" he asked

I laughed, "hi chuck, this is my boyfriend Hayes" I said

"so you go after dweebs like this but not me" he said

"he's not a dweeb, you're just jealous" I said joking around.

"alright well me you and Sammy have gotta hang out soon babe" he said
