chapter 32

gabbys POV

"gab? kay?" dave yelled

I just stayed in hayes arms crying, "up here" Hayes said

saw came up and saw the rope hanging from Kay's fan, "we've gotta go to the hospital, we weren't aloud to go I shout you or zac but they just took her" Hayes said

we all got in daves car and he drove as fast as I've ever sent him drive.

we got to the hospital and ran inside and to the front desk.

"kayla Efron" dave said

"room 246, but I think that ones a little young to see that" she said and pointed to me.

"gab-" I cut dave off.

"I can handle it, I just saw her hanging from her ceiling fan" I said

we walked down to the room and I opened the door and went in.

I saw kayla laying there, still unconscious with tubes down her throat, her neck was all cut up and same with her arms.

I walked slowly to the side of her bed and grabbed her warm hand.

a doctor walked in, "hi you just be her guardian?" he said to dave 

"yeah" dave said and shook his hand.

"listen, she was about 30 seconds away from death. she's on life support right now. we do not know when she will wake up or if she will wake up-" I cut him off.

"she's gonna wake up" I said

"I hope so. but the recovery is gonna be hard, I've seen kids like this try and recover and it fails and I see them back here after attempted suicide for another time. you guys will have to know that she's sensitive and doesn't want attention." he said

"she's tried before" I said

"what?" dave asked me

"about 2 years ago, I was still living with my mom and dad, her mom
found her but last time she used pills, she got better thought after it, this behavior started 2 days ago and i talked to her today trying to help her but she freaked out on me" I said

"like I said, it happens more than once" the doctor said

"can I be alone with her?" I asked

"yeah" they said and left the room.

"kayla wake the hell up right now. I need you, you can't leave me here alone. who am I gonna be crazy with? I need my best friend, my sister, my everything. we're gonna get you help, were not mad, we love you so much and can't stand to see you like this. please wake up I'll of anything kayla please. I love you so much. you were the best friend anyone could have and I'm so lucky to have known you my whole life. our moms are up there together and they both know how much I need you. please wake up kayla please" I said then heard the door open.

Hayes came in and looked at me, "it's just us here now" he said

"what'd you mean?" I asked

"zac questioned the doctors and dave chimed in then they all started arguing with the doctor and Dylan doesn't wanna see her like this. but dave and zac got kicked out and taken home by cops and Dylan went with them" Hayes said
