Harry's POV

I had just arrived, not even five minutes ago, and I was already annoyed by the people present, I had hoped that it was just a coincidence, but I had a feeling that it wasn't. I truly couldn't stand, Nathan or his cousin, Stephen. I had met them about two years ago at a party that Louis had, and we've been bumping into each other ever since. Nathan was an asshole in general, but Stephen and I had some heated words and physical altercations, whenever we saw each other. He had dated my sister for a few months, she never really told me what had happened between them, but the bruises and the way she had cried for weeks after they broke up was enough for me to hate him.

I had forgotten about my latest confrontation with him, while I was away with Katarina. No one else in the world mattered when I was with her. I wondered how she knew him. How could someone so kind and pure be friends with such awful people. I vaguely acknowledged the people we had met up with, with a small nod and polite smile, even though I couldn't stand most of them, I found it hard to be rude. Although, Stephen was the exception.

A few more minutes past and I felt like I was going to explode. Just as I was about to leave the group, I heard a burst of the most beautiful, familiar laughter coming from the direction of the parking lot. I turned in the direction that it came from, pleased to see the person I had expect. Katarina was linking arms with Samara as they hopped on one foot, supporting each others weight so they wouldn't fall. I often forgot how childlike she could be.

"Well go to your woman," I heard Louis say from the side of me. I turned to him with a smile, I think he is the only one who actually understands what I feel for this girl. I hadn't told him, but he usually had great intuition when it came to this stuff.

As I was about to walk over to her, she tripped over a crack in the pavement. It could have been her heels, I had quickly learned that she prefered sneakers. I rushed to her, knowing I wouldn't make it in time, Chris was actually closer, but I tried anyway. Before anyone else had moved, Stephen was at her side, catching her before she fell. She looked up at him with a small smile, thanking him as she tried to wiggle away from his grip, something she could have easily done on her own, but it was taking way too long.

I closed the distance between us in two long stride, yanking Katarina from his grip, causing her to yelp in surprise. "She asked you to let her go," I informed him as I pulled her along, tearing her away from the comfort of her two friends.

"Harry, let go, you're hurting me," she said in a low, stern voice. I let go of my grip from her arm before snaking my arm around her waist, pulling her securely against me. "Harry, I said let go," she said a little bit louder and harsher. When I didn't listen, her elbow came flying up, colliding with my sternum. It wasn't hard, but enough to get my attention, effectively causing me to release her. I heard a few oh's coming from Louis and Niall, but I had chosen to ignore them.

"Don't mess with her," Chris said wrapping his long arms around both our necks. "She'll fuck you up all on her own," he said with a proud smile. "Then you'll have to deal with me," his smile faded, turning his face to stone as he squeezed my shoulder before wedging himself between us to join the rest of the group. He didn't scare me, but I understood him. I had just acted the way, I assumed Stephen had treated my sister.

Katarina said something to Chris before he disappeared with the rest of the crowd into the cinema. "What the hell was that?" She asked, keeping her distance from me. I couldn't help but feel a little pained by her distance.

"Nothing," was all I could say, I still felt my blood boiling beneath my skin, I hated seeing his hands all over her and I hated that she let him. Granted she had no choice, and she did try to get away from him, but that wasn't the point.

"Bullshit," she called me out. I tried to fight the urge to smile, because she never cursed, the few times she did, I found it cute. All my angry began to subside, how could I possibly be angry with her? Especially over something that wasn't her fault.

"Fine, don't answer me, but let's get one thing straight. You cannot, ever in your life, treat me like that, ever again," I couldn't help, but stare at her dark red painted lips as she spoke. She was even breath taking when she was angry. "God, you're not even listening to me."

"I am," I finally spoke. "Look, I'm sorry for treating you that way. I honestly don't know what came over me, I saw his hands on you and I sort of freaked out."

"That's the second time you "freak out" when it comes to, Stephen," she pointed out. "Is that a coincidence? Are you a jealous person?" She guessed, knowing those weren't the reasons. "Or is there history there?" She asked, watching me closely, trying to gauge my reaction.

"If you already know, why do you ask," I said, a little too harshly, instantly regretting my words the moment the left my lips. What the hell was wrong with me? "I'm sorry."

"Because, I'd rather hear the truth from you, than to listen to a rumor. You want me to be honest with you, but honesty works both ways," she said calmly taking my hand in hers. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but that doesn't give you the right to do what you just did."

Her calm voice echoed through my body. I had just acted like a complete jackass and yet here she was trying to be as calm as ever. "We should go inside, the movie is about to start," was all I could say.

"Fine, but if you get scared, I'm not holding your hand," she said crossing her arms over her chest as she walked away towards the cinema.

"I won't get scared, you might, though," I teased.

"It's a Guillermo Del Toro film, trust me, you're going to get scared."

"I could say the same to you."

"It's Guillermo Del Toro, I came opening night," she said with a smile as I got our tickets. "And I watched it twice, so I'll be fine," her smile became wider as I opened the door for her before she slipped inside, her arms still folded over her chest.

"So, if you already watched it, why did we come?"

"I don't know, I wanted to come out and have fun with people and they all agreed on this movie."

"We can leave."

"No, as much as I enjoyed being held captive by you, we can't just shut out our friends. Besides, Chloe and Madison are alone with Chris, and if you cared even a smidge about Niall, you'd keep an eye on him as well," she said. as she joined the rest of our friends in the line for the concession stand, taking my hand as Stephen smiled at her, which she politely returned.

I began to tighten my grip on her hand, but quickly stopped myself. She got on her tiptoes, her lips meeting my ear, "don't freak out," she whispered before pressing her lips to my cheek. Just as I was about to wrap my arms around her, I felt a tap on my arm. When I turned around, I was greeted by a woman and what seemed to be her two daughters. Katarina took the opportunity to slip away.

"I'm sorry to bother you, but my daughter and niece are huge fans and I was wondering if they could get a picture with you guys," the woman asked pointing at the two younger girls who looked like they were about ten or eleven.

"It's no problem," I said, calling the others to join in, which happened to include, Chris and Ed, who the young girls happened to recognize as well. I usually didn't mind taking a picture with a fan, but tonight, I was with Katarina. Which wouldn't have been a problem either, if Stephen weren't here.

After a few pictures and autographs, I looked around for, Katarina until I spotted her, carrying a massive about of snacks in her arms, trying not to drop anything while Samara just laughed at her. I couldn't help but smile, she looked so carefree and beautiful. "Stop staring, you look like a creep," I heard Chris say behind me as he walked over to the girls, picking off the snacks he wanted, Niall doing the same, before she offered the rest of the guys some snacks.

I walked over to Katarina, placing my hands on her hips, kissing her cheek causing her to smile. "Sorry about that," I whispered to her.

"Don't be, you guys made those little girls night," she smiled. "Never apologize for that, come on we need to get good seats."

She kept her eyes on the screen during the entire movie, I tried kissing her every now and again, at first it was because of my selfish need and want to kiss her, but after she swatted me away, it became a game to me. Once the movie was over and the credits showed up, she turned to me with a frown. "You didn't even watch the movie," she complained.

"I had another form of entertainment."

She smacked my shoulder as we walked out, I took her hand in mine, interlocking our fingers as I pulled her along towards my car. "You look beautiful tonight, by the way," I complimented her as we made our way out of the parking lot heading to John's place. "How do you know John anyway?" I asked, they seemed pretty familiar with each other that night at his nightclub.

"Question is, how do you know, him?" She threw the question back at me.

"I asked first."

"I've known Johnny since I can remember, he was my brother's version of, Samara," she said trying to hide the hint of sadness that was usually there when she spoke about her family. "You're turn."

"I met him through Niall and Louis, he owns nightclubs that they usually go to, so," I shrugged.

She nodded, seeming to accept my explanation. "Do you mind if I drink tonight?" She asked hesitantly.

"No, but I thought you didn't drink, you didn't even drink that night at the club," I pointed out.

"I don't and I'm not sure if I want to, I just want to make sure that you'll be sober to drive safely and I'll be free to have that option open," she rushed her words, taking a deep breath when she finished.

"I'll take care of you," I promised.
