Chapter 18 ~ Luke edited*
The guys and I were having band practice but we got hungry so Ashton went to get some pizza. "Shouldn't he be back by now it's been 45 minutes," Michael whined.
"Maybe it's traffic," I said. After five more minutes, he came back. "What took you so long man I was dying of hunger?"
"Stop over exaggerating Mikey," Ashton said as he put the pizza down. "What took you so long man," Calum asked.
"Well I ran into Jamie and her date at the pizza place, sorry man." I just stood there with shock. Then I got angry.
"That's what her plans were tonight. Did that kiss me nothing to her?" I yelled.
"Dude, are you alright you look like you're going punch someone," Calum said.
"Ash, did you know who she was on a date with?" I asked trying to calm down. "Well I talked to for a little and she said his name was Rider." That's when I lost my cool.
"She on a date with that fucking dick doesn't she know his a dipshit! Like serious all he wants is to get in her fucking pants!" I yelled but this time it was more like screaming.
"Luke you need to calm down just eat some pizza," Ashton said. "I not fucking hungry. Ash which pizza place where they at?"
"I don't think you," but I interrupted. "Tell now or I swear to god I will," I started to clench my fist harder. "They were at Mario's 20 minutes from here."
I grabbed Ashton's keys and got in his car and started to drive to Mario's. I couldn't believe she was on a date with Rider or anyone of that matter especially after what I felt yesterday when we kissed. When I arrived at Mario's I didn't see them.
"Hey, Mario have you seen a girl with curly dark brown hair and a tall guy with black hair also looks like a douche?" I asked.
"Yes they left ten minutes ago," he said. "Do you happen to know where they were headed?"
"I heard them saying they are going to the movies. Luke is this girl cheating on you is this why you're trying to find them?" Mario is like family I feel like I can tell him personal things and I won't be judged but I don't have time tonight.
"You can say something like that." I started to head to the movie theater down the street. I look at all the movie choices that were playing. Then I saw the Lego movie and I remember that she wanted to check out after I told her it was great.
"One ticket to the Lego movie," I asked the person in the ticket booth.
"Sorry, we sold out ten minutes ago come again tomorrow." She said in a monotone voice.
Great now what am I supposed to do for two hours. I went back to Ashton's car and drove back home and decided I will wait until the movies over. "Hey dude did you see her," Ashton asked when he walked out of my house and sat next to me on the porch.
"No, they went to the movies and the one they're watching is sold out," I said.
"So what are you doing out here?" What am I doing?
"I don't know, wait until she returns to talk to her I guess," I answered.
"I think you should back inside it's going to be like an hour and a half wasted just sitting out here." I nodded and came inside. "Here you need to eat." He handed me a slice of pizza. I started to eat because I was lying when I said I wasn't hungry.
"Do you think you'll be alright," Calum asked after a few minutes. I nodded.
"Yes I'm not as angry anymore I'm just really confused."
"About what?" Mikey asked. "Well I thought she felt something like I did yesterday but I guess I was wrong."
"What if she said she would go on this date with Rider before you guys kissed and didn't to be rude and bail on him," Ashton explained.
"I at least thought she wanted to talk about the kiss yesterday and if we are moving forward." Then I saw lights outside when I look out the window it was Jamie in Rider's car. They seemed like they were talking and then I saw him leaning in a little. Is he trying to kiss her? Then he stopped and they started talking again and he had this sad look on his face. Haha, man whore didn't get what he wanted. After she went inside her house I thought.
Should I go talk to her now or later? I think I should go now. "Dude where are you going?" Michael asked. "To go talk to Jamie."
"I think you should wait a few minutes she just got off her date." Calum stopped me.
"Fine, I'll wait an hour. Is that long enough." They all nodded.
After it has been an hour I went over and knock numerous times but she didn't answer. So I texted her. We need to talk now!
Alright on my way she replied.
After 10 minutes she arrived with Sophie. "Thanks, Soph for the ice cream see you tomorrow. Then she turned to me. "We can talk inside Luke." I followed her inside of her house.
"What did you want to talk about?" She asked as she sat on the couch and I sat down next to her. She seemed nervous.
"Well, I wanted to know why in the hell would you go on a date with Rider McDaniel especially after yesterday?" I asked with slight anger.
"I had already promised him that I would go before what happened and I didn't want to be rude he seemed nice."
"Nice. He isn't nice. He's a fucking prick who wants to get in your pants, Jamie! I think you shouldn't even talk to him," I yelled. I really hate Rider only if she knew the truth she would too.
"Is some j-e-alous?" She started to smirk.
"I just don't want to see you get hurt," I confessed. "Thanks, Luke but you have nothing to worry about Rider I already told him I like you so I said we could be friends. Unless that makes you jealous." She looked in my eyes.
"It would but if you want to be friends with that dick go ahead." She chuckled.
"He's not a dick if you get to know," She said. "I do know him that's why I said he's a dick." We laughed for a few minutes until I said.
"I also came here to talk about us."
"What about us?" She asked. "Well, when we kissed yesterday did you feel anything?"
"Yes, your slimy tongue down my throat." She laughed. "No, I'm being serious Jamie." I stared in her eyes.
"Yes I did feel something I can't explain but it felt good. Felt right." She confessed.
"I'm so glad you said that because I thought it felt right too." I stared at her lips god I wanted to kiss those lips. I grabbed her face and put lips to mine and it felt amazing. I feel like I can forget about everything being with her. I wanted her to be mine.
"Jamie, I want you to be my girlfriend will you?" I asked when we pulled away. She looked surprised but then said, "Of course Luke." Then she pulled her lips back to mine. We sat there cuddling for some time.
After a while, I heard thunder is it raining?
"It's raining hard out there," Jamie said moments later. "Yeah are you going to be alright because I have to get home?" I asked.
"I don't mine thunderstorms I just don't like being alone in this house." She told me. "Well I can stay I'll just tell the guys that they can have at mine sleepover without me."
"Can you please?" I nodded then called Calum and told him I'm staying with Jamie and that I will text him later to explain what happens. Also not to trash my house or tell my mom I'm over here.
When I came back into the living room she was gone so I went upstairs to find her. I found her laying on her bed. "Hey Luke can you cuddle with me I can't sleep?" I climb on the bed next to her and put my arms around her hair smelt like vanilla. God, she is beautiful.
"Better?" I asked.
"It is now." Then she closed her eyes and I fell asleep to the rain falling outside her window and the smell of vanilla. What are you doing to me, Jamie Hart?
