**YOUR POV**
„Oh my god, Harry!" I ran to him all excited as he sat on the couch in the living room, watching TV.
„What's happening?" He let out a cute laugh when I sat down next to him and he looked at me.
„Taylor just texted me. She said she's in town this week for promo and a show that's tonight. God I haven't seen her in so long." I told him.
„No way! When are you gonna see her?"
„Well she invited us two to her show tonight, but I told her you're still on bedrest for another week, so I don't know." I explained.
„Babe, just because I can't go doesn't mean you can't aswell. Taylor is your best friend and you haven't seen her in so long. I want you to go, love." He insisted.
„Are you sure?"
„Of course! Have a fun girls night out afterwards. You've been spending so much time with me the last few months, you need to spend some much needed time away from me." He smiled and I chuckled at what he said.
„But I can't leave you here all alone. What if you need anything?" I asked him.
„I'll call the boys over to keep me company and help me in case I need anything if they're up for it. I haven't seen them since our last show and they wanted to visit anyways."
„Are you sure? I can visit her some other time."
„Y/n no, I'm sure. You go and have a good time with her tonight. You've talked so much about finally wanting to see her again and now you can so you have to go."
„Okay thank you, H." I leaned in to kiss his lips.
„No need to, sweetie." He smiled.
„Wait, at what time is your check up appointment today?"
„At 4 I think." He said.
„Okay, I'll drive you to the appointment and after you're done and we're back home, I'll head to the venue." I explained my plan to him.
„I can drive myself if it's too much trouble."
„You're not allowed to drive just yet and it's no trouble, don't worry." I assured him and he nodded. „Do they have to take X-rays again?" I asked him, not sure what the doctor said the last time.
„Probably, yes. Doctor Brown said she needed to take a look at the ligaments around my vertebrae."
I nodded, understandingly.
„I hope she's got good news." He sighed.
„I'm sure she does. You've been on bedrest nonstop and were always mindful of what you did, I'm sure she's got positive news." I gave him a reassuring smile.
„Yeah, I hope so."
„Don't worry about it too much." I ran my hand through his soft, freshly washed and blow dried hair as he nodded. „God I love your long curls so much." I changed the subject as I couldn't resist telling him that.
Harry chuckled, smiling at me as his dimples popped out. „Thanks. Was thinking of cutting them though. What do you think about short hair?"
„What?! Don't you dare cutting off those beautiful, long curls!"
„I'm only joking, baby. I won't cut them, don't you worry." He laughed at my reaction as I just rolled my eyes at him.
„Did you know that some of your fans think you're intimidating ever since you grew out your hair and have this serious look most of the time?"
He shook his head, frowning, looking a little offended but at the same time so incredibly adorable.
„But in real life you're just the cutest little cutiepie to ever exist." I pressed a kiss on his cheek, making him blush at that.
„But I am also intimidating right?" He grinned at me, jokingly.
„Especially when you're protective." I nodded and smiled at him, making him giggle a little.
„I'll always be protective of you." He smiled back.
„And I truly appreciate that, but I'm also able to take care of myself."
„Well obviously." He agreed. „But still."
„I love you, you know that?" I giggled at his cute expression.
„Whaaat? Never heard you say that before." He joked. „I love you more, baby."

A few hours later, Harry and I sat in the examination room at the hospital after he already got examined and x-rayed, waiting for doctor Brown to come back with the results.
I glanced over at Harry as he stared into nothingness, lost in his thoughts, so I placed my hand on his thigh to pull him out of them.
„Hm?" He looked at me with a questioning look on his face.
„What's on your mind?" I asked, carefully.
„Nothing." He smiled a little.
„Worried about the results?"
He nodded slowly. „A little, yeah."
„I'm sure she's got positive news, Haz. You've been on strict bedrest for the past two weeks and you've been taking care of yourself, I'm sure it'll be okay."
He nodded again. „Thanks." Harry slid his hand in mine and I gave his a gentle squeeze.
A few moments later doctor Brown came in to talk about Harry's results.
„Alright, here are your X-rays, Harry." She took them out of her files to show us. „Here is your fusion and here are the ligaments. I'm very satisfied with how it looks as of now. The ligaments look less strained and you can see here that the fusion and your vertebrae are slowly but surely healing and getting stronger." She explained and a sigh of relief both left Harry's and my mouth. „Your incision also looks very good, it's healed together very nicely. I'm very satisfied with your recovery."
„I'm so glad to hear that, doctor." Harry told her. „After the surgery, doctor Russell said I'd make a full recovery. Is that so?"
„You know, the procedure has been performed very well in the first place and as I said, I'm very pleased with the progress in your recovery. The fusion looks perfect, so I'm also sure about a year after the procedure, you'll have fully recovered and are able to do everything you were able to do before your injury. The only thing you're most probably gonna take away from this is, that your back will be more sensitive in general and there will be times it will act up and you'll experience pain but never as strong as you've experienced it during recovery."
„I understand." He nodded. „That's good news though, thank you so much."
„You're very welcome. I'd just like you to stay on bedrest for this week so you complete the three weeks and I want you to keep wearing the brace for at least two more months. You can start working out and strengthen your back in about a month but only under supervision of a physical therapist that's specialized in back injuries like yours and I want you to wear the brace during workouts and all physical activities until you're considered recovered." She explained.
„Okay, got it." He said.
„You still need to take it easy. The pain will fade more and more from now on and you'll soon be able to twist and bend more as soon as you feel you're ready to do so." Doctor Brown explained further. „As soon as your back is strong enough, you'll definitely be able to slowly get back to perform on stage but even then you need to be mindful of your back." She said, making Harry smile at the though of being able to do what he loves again. „After bedrest, I'd recommend you to go on some walks to get your spine used to all the movements and physical efforts again, considering how long you've been on bedrest and didn't properly move. You still do need time after all, don't forget that, alright?"
„Alright, yes. I'll do that. Thank you." Harry said before she finished up, made another appointment for him in a few weeks and we could leave and head back home.
„See? I told you it would be fine. That's the most positive news we heard in a while." I kissed his lips when we got into the car and I started driving towards Harry's house.
„I'm so relieved I'm finally improving properly." He smiled at me. „I'm so glad."
„Me too. It can only get better from now on." I smiled back. „I'm so proud of you, my love."
