After Peter moved out, he was still at the compound with MJ for the first few months and they would stay there for several days, per Morgan's request. They would chill with the family and joke around after a long day's work, cuddling at night. When they were home, they would always make food together, clean up the living room from the move, and decorate the rooms. They unpacked little by little, small arguments erupted as they wanted a different place for items, and though they wouldn't talk the rest of the time spent unpacking, Peter never let his girl go to bed angry or upset. He would climb in bed next to her and when she was turned away, he would lightly grip her shoulder and cause her to look at him. When she was being extremely stubborn, he'd flinch and lean over her shoulder, wrapping his arms around her.

Peter would lean closer to her ear and place a feathery light kiss on her temple. He would pull her closer and place his lips close to her ear, whispering apologies. She would lean into him and turn her head slightly into his chest as she melted into him. There was never a fight left unresolved and the two were never angry at each other for longer than a day. Everyone was hoping for one of them to propose and a couple of years passed with MJ and Peter happily together. Every time someone would hint at marriage, both would blush and brush it off. MJ wasn't ready for any further commitment after Brad and Peter understood that fully. He would wait until she was ready, but he already had the ring ready since they were in college. Sounds silly, but he always hoped she would be his one day and now that he had her, he was going to make sure she has his last name one day, even if he had to wait forever.

"Morning, don't forget about-" MJ began to say as she was making coffee and Peter entered the kitchen, walking up to his girlfriend and pecking her lips. He began to pour his coffee and sugar into the empty mug and cut her off with a smile towards her.

"The meeting with that company at 11, I know M. Thank you for the reminder, beautiful. However, I have a surprise for you, but you can't argue with me. I will not take no for an answer and I'm still technically your boss." MJ raised an eyebrow and smirked when he treaded lightly with his words at the end. "You're taking the day off and spending it with the girls. I've already cleared your schedule a week ago- yes, don't worry. I've handled the meetings and such myself. I may be the son of Tony Stark, but that doesn't mean I take after his work ethic."

"You spent the entire week last month chasing bad guys and locked in your lab." MJ spoke with her arms crossed and Peter grinned.

"I still had everything done, did I not?" She bit her tongue and sighed.

"Fine, loser. You win." After all these years, at the age of 27 MJ still called her best friend loser. It was so obvious that the name would always remain and Peter smiled every time he heard it. He smiled widely and kissed her forehead with his mug of coffee (Sugar) in hand, before leaving.

"I love you!" He called over his shoulder and she smiled to herself.

"Love you too!" He was already halfway out the door when she responded and the spider pulled his head back through the door, flashing the same amazed smile he had the day she first said it back.

"Say it again?" He grinned and she shook her head, a giggle leaving her lips.

"I love you." She smiled and his grin widened.

"One more time?" He asked and she raised an eyebrow. "Please?" He frowned and she sighed, rolling her eyes as a smile danced on her face.

"I love you, Peter Parker!" He blew a kiss and left while his girlfriend smiled to herself. She adored her boyfriend and though it took half a year after Brad to respond with a mutual response, he waited till she was ready. He never rushed it, didn't wait for her to say it back; he knew she wasn't ready. He was fine with waiting and he was never forgetful when it came to telling MJ he loved her.
